Bond Street Station Upgrade Project ACTIVITY NOTIFICATION April 2013 Dear Sir / Madam, This letter is to advise you of continuing utility works at Bond Street Station Upgrade. This work involves strengthening of existing sewers through the introduction of internal linings, in preparation for future project tunnelling works. Most of the work is undertaken within the sewers though men, plant and materials will be marshalled above ground to access points through existing manhole locations as shown on the plan below (marked A and B). The work is generally to be undertaken at night when dry weather flows are at low levels; this also minimises surface disruption. Tyburn Sewer Lining Works Following completion of enabling works, lining works will commence on 02 April on Barrett Street (marked A on the plan) and on 09 April on Oxford Street (marked B on the plan). On Oxford Street two way traffic, alternating eastbound/westbound, will be controlled by stop go boards through a single lane past the works. Both of these works, which are scheduled for completion in June 2013, will be carried out at night, between 10pm-6am, and the compounds will be removed outside of these hours. We will of course endeavour to minimise disturbance although we do not expect these works to be intrusive. A B About the Bond Street Station Upgrade Project The Bond Street station upgrade will increase station capacity, provide step free access and deliver a new station entrance and ticket hall on Marylebone Lane. It is due to be completed in 2017, and will also provide access to the new high speed Crossrail services from 2018.
