1. GENERAL INFORMATION
The CICLOPULS CP10 Heart Rate Monitor is a sophisticated, user friendly training tool. It has a large, high contrast, two line LCD. The CICLOPULS CP10 also allows you to program your Target Training Zone for accurate heart rate training. Ciclosport’s proprietary custom Integrated Processing Circuit ensures an ECG accurate heart rate display. Functions: Heart Rate Display, Programmable Target Training Zone with Memory, Visual and Audible Training Zone Alarm, Average Heart Rate, Stopwatch, 12/24 hr. Clock and Calorie Consumption. Persons who wear a cardiac pacemaker should contact their physician before using this device to measure their heart rate! The CICLOSPORT CICLOPULS CP10 is a training and conditioning aid designed to measure and display your heart rate. Before you begin any exercise program, please consult your doctor or health professional to establish your individual upper and lower heart rate limits (training zone), 22
exercise frequency and duration appropriate for your age, condition and specific goals (see chapter 6).
2. OPERATION
Basically, the following applies: - Heart rate measurement is only possible when the breast belt is properly put on and the CICLOPULS CP10 is not farther away from the breast belt transmitter than 70 cm. - To start heart rate measurement, press any key. If no heart rate signal is received within a period of approx. 5 minutes, the heart rate receiver in the CICLOPULS CP10 switches off automatically. To start again, press any key. - The display shows a flashing heart symbol while receiving signals from the transmitter. 2.1 Putting on the breast belt Adjust the elastic belt so that the transmitter fits snugly below your pectoral muscles. Before using, moisten the two conductive rubber pads on the back surface of the transmitter with saliva or ECG Electrolyte Gel (available at your

6. HEART-RATE-LIMIT-TIME-STORAGE
The following functions are possible by using the set maximum heart rate limits and the set minimum heart rate limits.
Heart rate (per minute) 180 160 140 120 100 80 60 heart rate during training heart rate during warm-up resting heart rate training cool-down heart rate at the end of training heart rate during recuperation
6.3 Heart rate during training If you train to stay young and fit, the training method is very important. If the wrong method is chosen, you can even endanger your health. You should only train according to your physician’s or trainer’s instructions. Generally speaking, you need to take your heart rate as a base: if you train at a maximum you will reach your maximum heart rate level. The best heart rate for training is approx. 60 to 80% of ones maximum heart rate. Although you are not training at your maximum, this amount has a better effect on your heart function. Maximum heart rate and target range
Heart rate (per minute) 200 180 160 140 target range 70%
This diagram is a simple representation. Individual differences vary according to age, physical condition and require consultation with physician to determine a long-term training plan. 6.4 Recuperating heart rate You should measure your heart rate when you stop training and then the heart rate should be measured again after 3 minutes. The heart rate recuperates after training and gradually returns to the resting heart rate rate. If your heart rate is over 120 Bpm after 3 minutes, then you were training to hard. If you train regularly, your heart rate will return more quickly to its normal level after 3 minutes.
that you have the necessary skills. You will need a small Phillips screwdriver and a needle. Tweezers make it easier to handle the small screws. Note: When changing the battery, all values will be lost. 1. Take note of all individual and required values. 2. Place the display-side of the watch on a clean, soft surface. 3. Remove the watchstrap and the holding pins. 4. Loosen the screws (4x) and remove the cover. 5. Take out the golden spiral spring. 6. Loosen the holding clamp for the battery with the help of the needle (lever at the narrow part over the plastic nose, it is possible that you will have to use some force). 7. Remove the holding clamp and the protecting foil. Attention: two contact flaps for the beeper are fed through cuts in the foil! 8. Remove the used battery and replace it by a new CR2032 lithium battery (insert with the positive pole upwards). 9. Reposition the protecting foil. Attention: make sure that the contact flaps for the beeper are fed through the cuts in the foil! 29
