ENTRIES OPEN: July 1, 2008: Pre-Entries Close: August 22, 2008. Dayof-Entry Fees applicable on August 23, 2008 and forward. No refunds after August 15, 2008. No facsimile or phone entries will be accepted. No entry will be accepted without a correctly completed and signed ASCA entry blank and remittance of full entry fee. Forms are available at www.asca.org. Pre-Entries MUST be postmarked NO LATER THAN August 22, 2008.
Insufficient funds will result in a $25.00 fee. Entrants who stop payment will be placed on a cash-only basis with HPASC. Entrants will have five (5) days to make good on any insufficient funds with a money order, cashiers check or cash. Failure to make good on insufficient funds will result in your entry being marked invalid and all awards, legs, titles earned at this trial being withheld.

President: Carol Ann Hartnagle Vice President: Linda Jensen Treasurer: Elaine Hartnagle Secretary: Geri Scheidt Board Members: Becky Chandler Mary Jeffers Wendy Summers ● The Trial Secretary, Show/Trial Committee, Members of HPASC and the owners of the host facility assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by any exhibitor, handler, dog, property, child or spectator. This trial is being held on private property. You understand by your attendance and/or entry that the Show/Trial Committee have the right to refuse or excuse any entry for good cause. Good cause would be violation of the ASCA show rules. ● Entry Fees will not be returned if the show cannot be opened or be completed due to riots, civil disturbances, acts of God, public emergencies or other events beyond the control of HPASC. Entry fees will not be refunded if the dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred from competition by the Show/Trial Committee, ASCA, show veterinarian or the Judge.

● Remind children to stay back from the arena, away from crates and x-pens and to ALWAYS ask before running up to or petting a dog. PLEASE…NO screaming, hollering or running children by the arena. ● When not in the arena, ALL dogs must either be crated, in escape proof x-pens, or on lead and under control at all times. ● ATTENTION EXHIBITORS: Please be reminded, ASCA Rules allow only dogs entered in the trial on the show grounds. This is for your safety and protection. Dogs who are not entered in the trial will be asked to leave the show grounds. ● All Exhibitors MUST pickup after their dog and setup. ● Proof of rabies vaccination may be required. ● There will be a food concession on the grounds all three days. Concessions will be provided by J&S Hotdogs.

TRIAL INFORMATION:
COURSE DIRECTOR: Jim Hartnagle
● ASCA Rules Apply. ● Stock Classes Offered: All Breed Stock Trial Classes: Advanced, Open, Started, Working/Open Jr. Handler/For Exhibition Only. ● Non-ASCA dogs may enter the stock trial without a tracking number; however, only those with a tracking number will be awarded ASCA titles upon completing the title requirements. ● ASCA Tracking Number: Beginning 1/1/2003 for non-ASCA registered dogs – in order to have ASCA qualifying legs tracked and to receive ASCA titling certificates, each non-ASCA registered dog will be required to have an ASCA tracking number. This requires a one time fee of $10.00/dog. At the time if applying for the tracking number, the individual owner must also be an ASCA member (minimum is Service Membership: cost $10.00). ● Limit of 40 runs maximum per class or stock, per day, depending on availability of stock. ● Draw for run order will be after trial registration closes. . Bitches in heat will run in order of draw, but must be crated and exercised away from the competition. . Substitutions are allowed, providing the dog is owned by the same owner. ● All breeds recognized by ASCA as herding breeds are eligible to enter the trial.

● Stock to be Used: 5 head per run of Khaki Campbell ducks; 3-5 head per run of wool and/or hair sheep and 3-5 head per run of 300 to 800# cattle. ● Exhibitor agrees by participation to pay replacement cost or vet fee as applicable for injury or death of animal. Replacement cost per duck is $25; per sheep is $150 and cattle is $Market Price.

AWARDS AND/OR ROSETTE RULES & REGULATIONS: MOST PROMISING STARTED AUSSIE: Aussies must be entered in the
started classes only. The Aussie with the highest accumulated qualifying leg totals from the Saturday, Sunday and Monday stockdog trials will be awarded the Most Promising Started Aussie Silver Belt Buckle plus presented with a rosette. In addition, there will be a Most Promising Started Aussie rosette given for each trial.

MOST PROMISING STARTED OTHER BREED: Other breeds must
be entered in the started classes only. The Other Breed with the highest accumulated qualifying leg totals from the Saturday, Sunday and Monday stockdog trials will be awarded the Most Promising Other Breed Silver Belt Buckle plus presented with a rosette. In addition, there will be a Most Promising Started Other Breed rosette given for each trial.

HIGH COMBINED AUSSIE: Aussies must be entered in open or advanced
classes only. The Aussie with the highest accumulated qualifying leg totals from the Saturday, Sunday and Monday stockdog trials will be awarded the High Combined Aussie Silver Belt Buckle and presented with a rosette. In addition, there will be a High Combined Aussie rosette given for each trial.

HIGH COMBINED OTHER BREED: Other Breeds must be entered in
open or advanced classes only. The Other Breed with the highest accumulated qualifying leg totals from the Saturday, Sunday and Monday stockdog trials will be awarded the High Combined Other Breed Silver Belt Buckle and presented with a rosette. In addition, there will be a High Combined Other Breed rosette given for each trial.

HIGH IN TRIAL OVERALL: The Aussie or Other Breed who earns the
overall highest score out of all classes of stock at each trial will be given a rosette.

HARD LUCK STOCK AWARD: To be awarded at the discretion of the stock
judges based on the Saturday, Sunday & Monday stock trials.

ROMEO AWARD: To be awarded to the dog that has the highest combined total
cattle scores from the Saturday, Sunday and Monday stock trials. In addition, a rosette will be presented.

SHOW SITE DIRECTIONS:
From Denver: Take I-25 south to Exit 184 (Factory Outlet Shops). Cross over the interstate and continue east (southeast) on Founders Parkway for about 5 miles to the traffic light. Turn left (east) on Highway 86 and continue through Franktown and Elizabeth. Turn left (north) onto County Road 37. Sundown Arena is approximately ¼ mile on left.

From the East: Take Highway 86 West (Kiowa) exit off of I-70, go approximately 42 miles (go through the Town of Kiowa) to County Road 37. Turn right on County Road 37, Sundown Arena is approximately ¼ mile on left. From the West: take Highway 86 East (in Castle Rock) exit off of I-25 and go approximately 30 miles to County Road 37, turn left onto County Road 37 (north), Sundown Arena is approximately ¼ mile on left. Camping: Dry camping is available on show site (if you use a generator, it must be turned off no later than 11 pm each evening). No dumping on site. THIS MEANS any bedding, etc., MUST NOT be left or dumped at the show site. Lodging: Hotels in Castle Rock (35 miles away).
