User Guide for Play Yards and Bathinets

Read all warnings and instructions before setup and use of the Room to Grow Play Yard or Bathi-
net. Our 4-in-1 products provide the convenience of several uses in caring for your child. Please
familiarize yourself with the safety recommendations of each use.

                          KEEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE USE

WARNING: Failure to read/follow the directions and warnings below for these and other
infant products could result in serious injury or death.

Play Yard, Splash Pool, Changer, Bassinet and Bathing safety:
        • DO NOT place child in the RTG Play Yard or Bathinet until extra air has been added.
Play Yard or Bathinet is correctly filled when firm and resistant to an adult pressing
down on the top surface. By special design, there is more structure than air space, so
set up takes only a few minutes. Ensure that all safety valves are completely closed and
recessed to eliminate any loss of air. DO NOT use compressors or motorized pumps.
        • Before using any product, inspect contents of product bag for missing or damaged parts
or accessories. DO NOT use if any part is missing. DO NOT substitute parts. Call or
write Growing Room, Inc. for replacements.
        • DO NOT use for any other age, pets or uses not recommended in this guide. Use only
with adult supervision at all times.

Play Yard Safety:
       • Strings can cause suffocation. DO NOT place items with a string in Play Yard, Bathinet,
or around child’s neck. DO NOT suspend any items on a string over Play Yard. DO NOT
place Play Yard near windows with cords or strings that may strangle child. Use only soft
toys, no shoes or buckles. Remove sharp jewelry or watches during setup.
       • When child is able to pull up to standing position, large toys and other objects should be
removed to prevent child from using them as steps and climbing out of the Play Yard.
       • Discontinue use of Play Yard when child is able to climb out or reaches the height of 39”
       or 39 lbs.
       • Use only RTG snug fitting cushion covers. DO NOT use bumpers, pillows, loose
blankets or stuffed animals as these items can cause suffocation. For extra warmth use
       one-piece sleeper pajamas.
       • To reduce the risk of SIDS, physicians recommend placing babies on their back to rest
       or sleep.
       • Keep away from flames or heat such as fireplaces, campfires or heaters or storing in
extreme hot or cold temperatures. Use only non-toxic and non-solvent base cleaners on
all surfaces of RTG Play Yards and Bathinets and cushion covers. Dry thoroughly before
returning to bag. Store indoors at room temperature.
Splash Pool Safety:
        • Remove floor cushion. Place on level, flat ground free of sharp objects. Use a small
bucket to add water only to fill line marked (1-2 inches). DO NOT use a hose. DO NOT
use as a flotation or safety device. Do not use near a pool, lake or any other body of water.
DO NOT leave your child unattended. If you cannot be within arms reach of your child,
you are too far away. DO NOT leave your child under the care or supervision of a stranger
        or sibling.

Changing Safety:
       • Follow set up instructions for each product provided. Gather all changing supplies before
placing baby on changing area. Never leave infant unattended or turn away; keep one hand
on infant at all times during changing process. If you need to leave the room, take the child
       with you.

Bassinet Safety:
        • Use only RTG snug fitting cushion covers. DO NOT use bumpers, pillows, loose blankets
or stuffed animals as these items can cause suffocation. For extra warmth use one-piece
        sleeper pajamas.
        • To reduce the risk of SIDS, physicians recommend placing babies on their back to rest or
        sleep.
        • Discontinue use as a bassinet when child is able sit up, roll over or reaches approximately
        15 lbs.
Special Note for RTG Bathinet: The Bathing and Feeding application can be used for
babies 0-5 months with support insert provided and continued use as a bath tub for older
babies without the use of the support insert or cushion.

Bathing Safety:
       • Follow set up instructions provided for support insert and age related bath tub and feed-
       ing use.
       • Use only tepid water. Fill only to fill line marked (1-2 inches).
       • Use wash rags instead of sponges to lower risk of bacteria. Use a plastic cup to rinse
baby instead of shower nozzles or hoses, which can fluctuate in temperature or water flow.
Gather all bath supplies before bath time. If you must leave the room, take the child with
       you.

SET UP INSTRUCTIONS FOR RTG PLAY YARDS:
NOTE: Follow specific order of set up to lock floor cushion in place.

        1. Add air to the cushion by inserting the end of hose from foot pump into the valve
marked #1. Pinch the neck of the one-way safety valve for maximum airflow in filling
cushion. Pump air into the cushion by stepping on the foot pump repeatedly until firm and
resistant to an adult pressing down on the top surface. Close valve by tightly plugging
valve stem and tuck into the recessed flap at base of valve. Place fitted cushion cover over
top of the cushion with valve closed and facing downward. Set covered cushion aside.
        2. Open Play Yard up and insert end of hose from foot pump into valve of Play Yard
marked #2. Restore air that was pumped out at the factory by stepping repeatedly on the
foot pump until Play Yard is just standing. Do not place child in Play Yard until after Step 3
        is completed.
        3. Insert covered cushion into the floor of the Play Yard, covered side up and closed valve
side down. Press down on cushion in circular direction until it lies totally flat in the bottom
of the partially filled Play Yard. Reattach hose and continue filling Play Yard surrounding
cushion until Play Yard is firm and resistant to an adult pushing down on top edge. This
final addition of air to the Play Yard should lock in the cushion area closing any space
between the sidewalls and the cushion. Close valve by tightly plugging valve stem and tuck
into recessed flap at base of valve.
        4. Now you may place child in Play Yard and enjoy!

SPECIAL NOTE:
RTG Play Yards can be moved from place to place without repeated set up by using the handles
provided. When moving to another room or outdoors, simply turn on it’s side and roll it through a
standard doorway.

Use as a Splash Pool:
        • If Play Yard has already been set up with cushion installed; simply open and pinch main
valve (#2) on Play Yard to let just enough air out to unlock floor cushion. Remove cushion
        and set aside.
        • Place the empty Play Yard on flat level ground that is clear of any sharp objects. Add
tepid water with use of a bucket to fill line marked (1-2”). As with any wading pool or
bathtub, to prevent drowning, use only with adult supervision at all times. DO NOT leave
child unattended. Room to Grow should not be used near a pool, lake or any other body of
water. Do not use as a flotation or safety device. Not for use by older children or adults.

Use as Changing Area:
Once steps 1 through 3 are completed, simply turn Room to Grow Play Yard upside down,
with or without cushion inside, for a changing area. The weight of an infant will create a
natural hammock-like surface, which helps center baby for changing.
NOTE: Never leave infant unattended or turn away; keep one hand on baby at all times
when using as a changing area. Be sure to gather any supplies before changing process
and have them within your reach.

Use as a Resting Space:
With mesh windows, Room to Grow offers an infant a safe and well-ventilated area to rest.
The reinforced cushion provides firm support for comfortable rest and built-in channels
provide extra air circulation and help keep fluids away from baby’s skin. The fitted remov-
able cushion cover is machine washable and is a soft, absorbent surface for baby to nap.
NOTE: Room to Grow is not meant to be used in place of a crib for a permanent place to
sleep. It is primarily for naps and traveling away from home.

BREAKDOWN INSTRUCTIONS:
To repack into bag, simply reverse setup instructions. Unplug each valve. Pinch safety
valve while folding to remove air from cushion and unit. You may also use the second port
located on the foot pump to remove additional air for repacking into bag. The foot pump
and hose can be returned to the separate outside pocket of the bag.

SET UP INSTRUCTIONS FOR RTG BATHINETS:
NOTE: Follow specific instructions for age-related Bathinet uses.
      1. Add air to cushion by inserting the hose from the foot pump into the valve of the cushion
marked #1. (There are adaptor tips attached for proper fit). Pinch the neck of the one-way
safety valve for maximum air flow in filling cushion. Pump air into the cushion by stepping
on the foot pump repeatedly until firm and resistant to an adult pressing down on the top
surface. Close valve by tightly plugging valve stem and tuck into recessed flap at the base
of the valve. Place fitted cushion cover over top of the cushion, with valve closed and fac-
ing downward. Set covered cushion aside.
        2. Open Bathinet and insert the hose end from the pump into valve #2. Restore air that was
pumped out of the Bathinet at the factory by stepping repeatedly on foot pump until Bathi-
net is just standing. DO NOT place child in Bathinet until after step 3 is completed.
        3. Insert covered cushion into the floor of the Bathinet, covered side up and closed valve
side down. Press cushion down going in circular motion until it is totally flat in the bottom
of the partially filled Bathinet. Reattach hose to the Bathinet valve #2 and continue filling
Bathinet surrounding the covered cushion until firm and resistant to an adult pressing down
on the top edge. This final addition of air should lock the cushion in place and close off any
space between the sidewalls and cushion. Close valve by tightly plugging valve stem and
tucking into recessed flap at the base of the valve.
Now you may place baby on this firm cushion area for changing or napping.
        4. To use the Bathinet for feeding or bathing babies 0-5 months, remove the covered cush-
ion and replace it with the support insert provided. Remove baby before converting it to a
feeding or bathing station. Remove the covered cushion by opening the Bathinet valve #2
and pinching the safety valve to let a small amount of air to escape. Lift out cushion and
close valve #2. Open support insert provided and fill to firm with foot pump as before.
Place the filled support insert into the Bathinet. Gather all necessary bath items before bath
time. Place Bathinet on large, level and solid surface and fill with tepid water up to fill line
(1-2 inches of water). DO NOT leave baby unattended during bath time or under the care
of a sibling. To prevent drowning, use only with adult supervision at all times, remaining
        within arms reach.
To resume use for changing or napping, simply remove support insert, empty water, clean
and wipe dry. Replace covered cushion and add a little air to firmly surround and lock
cushion, closing any space between the sidewalls and cushion.

BREAKDOWN INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATHINET:
To repack into bag, simply reverse set up instructions. Unplug each safety valve. Pinch
safety valve while folding to remove air from cushion, support insert and unit. You may
also use the second port located on the foot pump to pump out access air to fit it back into
the bag. The foot pump and hose can be returned to the outer pocket of the bag.
