ICI Paints – A Division of ICI plc. Turnover £2Bn Staff 18,000 in 25 countries and 60 sites. . Achievements – include: Promoted, initiated, gained Board approval and lead a Business Continuity program for the ICI Paints global business, and successfully harmonised this with the implementation of an audited risk management strategy to “Turnbull” guidelines. Implementation resulted in reduction of risks and improved readiness to handle unforcastable events. Successfully managed the Y2K business continuity planning process for Paints Europe, and facilitated global activity resulting in a smooth and “faultless” transition. Achieved 90MFF (9M Euros) of operating cost savings by the successful integration and restructuring of ICI and PPG’s [acquisition] Decorative Paints interests in France. Commissioned and Managed ICI’s first manufacturing facility [£18M investment] in the People’s Republic of China. Achieved an operating profit within 3 months. Project Managed the first MRP II Class “A” implementation in the Paints industry resulting in a 100% increase in customer service combined with a >20% increase in stock turn.
