Gregory M. Brown is a member of Brown & Palumbo, PLLC, which is Of Counsel to Carter
Conboy. He concentrates his legal practice in environmental law and energy, particularly in
matters relating to permitting and compliance, air pollution, facility siting, enforcement, waste
regulations and cleanup, and the environmental aspects of business transactions, including
insurance and environmental due diligence. He represents clients in actions for cleanup costs,
penalties, and other enforcement matters brought under the Clean Air Act, federal and state
Superfund statutes, and New York State Navigation Law.

Mr. Brown is experienced in complex insurance coverage matters. While in private practice in
Washington, he worked on behalf of policyholders, including Eastern Airlines, Continental Airlines,
Purex Industries, and 3M on environmental and products liability coverage disputes in various
jurisdictions across the United States. More recently, Mr. Brown obtained summary judgment in
the New York Appellate division in The Penn Traffic Company v. National Union Fire Insurance
Company of Pittsburgh, Pa, dismissing the claims of Penn Traffic seeking in excess of three
million dollars in coverage for defense costs under a directors and officers liability policy.
