Groundsperson / Labourer

Salary : Band 2 £11,879 – £14,739 pa

A vacancy has arisen for the post of Labourer / Groundsperson at Wirral Hospital Trust, working for the
Trusts Operations and Maintenance Division. You will work as part of a small team of grounds
maintenance staff providing Labouring and grounds duties at both Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge
hospitals.

You will have some experience in a building / grounds maintenance environment, be physically fit and
have a flexible approach to work. The ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative is
essential.



Maintenance Plumber
REF: A35/06
Salary : Band 4 £14,739 - £19,248 pa Plus £2,898 RRP (Currently) Depending on experience

A vacancy has arisen for the post of Maintenance Plumber at Wirral Hospital Trust. Working for the
Trusts Operation and Maintenance Division, as part of a multi discipline team providing a reactive and
planned preventative maintenance to Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge Hospitals.

You will have completed a recognised Plumbing apprenticeship and have a high level of competence in
building services. The ability to work on your own initiative is essential.

The successful applicant must have experience of, hot and cold water distribution services, sanitary
fittings and drainage systems and an understanding of the control of legionella bacteria in water
systems.

The successful candidate will also be contractually obliged to participate in the Trusts on call system
should this become necessary.

                                    MUSCULOSKELETAL

Senior 2 Physiotherapist
REF: A27/06
Salary: Band 6 £21,448 - £30,247 pa

The opportunity has arisen to join our well-established Respiratory Care team as a dedicated senior 2.

We are looking for a high level of motivation and commitment to team work in order to provide the highest
quality of care for patients using this service. Applicants must already be working at senior 2 level, having
completed a wide variety of junior rotations, within the NHS, one of which was respiratory care.

The post will enable you to develop clinical skills in all aspects of Respiratory Care, including, Critical
Care, Pulmonary rehab, Medical/Surgical units and Respiratory Outpatients, whilst continuing to develop
managerial skills by being involved in developing Junior staff, and having an involvement in
undergraduate education and audit.

The team structure includes experience Senior 1 staff, with rotational Senior 2 and Junior staff, working
alongside a clinical specialist.

Graduate diploma in Physiotherapy is essential and must have Health Professions Council Registration.
Experience of Involvement with audit and research is desirable, together with a relevant post grad
course.

Rotational Senior 2 Physiotherapist

Salary: Band 6 £21,448 - £30,247 pa

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated physiotherapists, with at least 2 years rotational
experience, in the NHS, as a junior physiotherapist, to join our senior 2-rotation scheme.

Rotations are of six months duration within acute and specialist units and each one offers the opportunity
to further develop your clinical and managerial skills whilst working alongside experienced and supportive
senior clinicians.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality of care for our patients whist encouraging personal development
of our staff through a well –established appraisal system.

A BSc in Physiotherapy is essential, together with a graduate diploma in Physiotherapy and you must be
registered with the Health Professions Council. Experience of Involvement with audit and research is
desirable, together with a relevant post grad course.

                             OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT


Fundraising Manager / Fundraiser – INTERNAL ONLY!

Hrs pw: Part-time/flexible – to be agreed with successful applicant
Shift pattern: Mainly Monday – Friday but some evening/weekend work will be required
Salary: Band 5 £17,049 - £24,198 pa


The Trust’s Jellybean Appeal requires an experienced, well motivated, organised and enthusiastic person
to help raise funds to make its four ‘wishes’ come true.

We require someone who can be seconded from their current post for an initial 6month period to work
with the existing members of the Jellybean Team to raise £250k for the first ‘wish’ – to fund equipment for
the new Children’s A&E at Arrowe Park Hospital.

Based at APH but likely to be ‘out and about’ with local businesses, schools and community groups. A
flexible approach is vital, as is the ability to work well in a small team, be adaptable and imaginative.

Experience of fundraising in a business or charitable environment is essential, as is the confidence and
ability to initiate and develop relationships with corporate and community based organisations and the
public. The ability to meet targets is desirable.

Experience in marketing/sales and a good level of IT literacy would be an advantage, as would a
standard of education to degree level or equivalent.

ASSISTANT H R MANAGER

SALARY: BAND 4 £14,739 - £19,248 pa

To work within our Medical Staffing and Support Team, developing and delivering efficient contract
management, recruitment, development and monitoring support systems in relation to Medical Staff
within the Trust.

Educated TO GCSE level/equivalent, working towards CIPD, with a minimum of 3 years generalist H R
experience which must include pre-employment checks, contract management, and terms and
conditions of employment. An up-to-date knowledge of Employment Law is essential. Experience of
Medical Staffing issues is desirable.


HUMAN RESOURCE/CONTRACT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT
REF: A21/06
SALARY: BAND 3 £12,539 - £16,389 pa
FULL and/or PART-TIME

Providing a central support function for the H R Department, including contract management and an
advisory/support service, in conjunction with the HR Managers/Senior HR Team.

GCSE level/equivalent, together with a Certificate in Personnel Practice/equivalent/working towards CIPD
or 2 years generalist HR experience.


DEPUTY H R DIRECTOR’S SECRETARY

SALARY: BAND 4 £14,739 - £19,248 pa

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced Senior Secretary to the DHRD within the H R
Department.

RSA III qualified, expected to provide a full secretarial service. Must possess excellent organisational,
diary/performance management, typing/word processing skills as well as the ability to organise and
service meetings. The ability to work to strict deadlines is essential.

                                           PHARMACY

Senior Clinical Pharmacist / Pharmacy Analyst WHIS – INTERNAL ONLY!

Hrs pw: 37.5 (with option for additional flexible working allowance of £2,500)
Salary: £31,626 - £35,631 pa

Due to the imminent departure of the current Pharmacy Analyst the Pharmacy Clinical Applications IT
team is being restructured to support the PCIS replacement project. We are looking for an enthusiastic
and capable pharmacist to join the Pharmacy IT team and help deliver a new clinical IT system to the
Trust.

This appointment is a permanent one and the job will comprise a 50/50 split between clinical work and IT
support. As a Senior Clinical Pharmacist, you will deliver a high quality pharmacy service to a group of
patients in a specific directorate.

As Pharmacy Analyst you will work to develop and maintain the existing electronic prescribing system
and contribute to the implementation and development of the replacement system.

             WIRRAL HEALTH INFORMATICS SERVICE (WHIS)

IT Support Technicians – INTERNAL ONLY!

Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 20:00 + On call
Salary: Band 4 £14,739 - £19,248 pa

Vacancies exist in the Information and Communications Technology/Infrastructure (ICT) Division of the
Wirral Health Informatics Service (WHIS) for IT Support Technicians.

The post-holders will be part of a team working to support IT throughout the NHS community on Wirral.
They will be expected to work on a full range of PC’s, servers, peripherals and network equipment.

Applicants must have at least two years experience with this sort of work and the selection process will
include both written and practical tests.

The successful candidates will need to demonstrate their skills in technical problem solving and customer
care. They will be working with a wide range of NHS staff and a variety of settings.

The applicants should be educated to GCSE standards and desirably should have achieved an A+ or
equivalent NVQ Level 3 qualification. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of MS Office
products to at least ECDL standards.

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday between 08.00 and 20.00

The post holder will be part of the service desk team whose main function is to give 1 st line IT
support and when required 2nd line IT support to all organisations within the health community of
the Wirral. Applicants must have HNC or 3 years relevant experience in Clinical Systems, I.T.
and must have a minimum of two years experience as an Entry Level IT Support Technician /
Helpdesk Analyst working in a networked environment.

The post holder must be customer focused and have excellent communication skills. The
selection process will include both written and practical tests. The successful candidate will be
required to demonstrate their skills in technical problem solving and customer care.

Must have a clean UK driving licence and be a car driver / owner.
