    Subject: NARRATIVE

On 04-23-10 at 1000 hrs, (W/M -67) left his residence
located at 13 Lake Washington BLVD S, Seattle WA 98144. activated
his alarm system to the residence. At 1201 was notified via his cell
phone that his residence alarm was tripped. made several attempts to
contact his spouse, (W/F -60) by phone. At 1221
arrived at the residence, upon entering the residence she noticed
that several things were out of place. She also heard some noise from the
upstairs, called for her husband. heard something make a
loud noise and thud outside. saw the suspect had jumped from the
upper level balcony to the ground passing thru a tree in the back yard
breaking branches. also saw the suspect started to run out of the
backyard then he came back and picked up a black backpack she recognized as
belonging to her husband and a laptop that belonged to her. The suspect
then ran towards S Irving St. at which time she lost sight of the suspect.

Upon arrival an area check was conducted for the suspect with negative
results. Additionally the I-90 pedestrian tunnel video was checked with
negative results. After further investigation I noticed that a front
window screen had been cut but the window was still intact. stated
that basement's back door had pieces of wood lying on the floor and wasn't
there before. I also noticed that the basement door had been forced in
separating the door jam from the door frame. I concluded that this had been
the point of entry and the suspect had tripped the alarm at 1200 hrs. Based
on statements it was apparent the suspect had searched thru all
three levels of the residence. The suspect was on the third floor when
had entered the residence from the front door on the second floor
at 1221 hrs. The suspect left the residence via the third floor balcony. I
conducted fingerprinting at both the entry and exit points with negative
results. stated that several items had been taken to include 2
laptops, 2 net books and black backpack had been taken. I gave
Victim Follow up forms and a card with the incident number. An area check
was conducted for the suspect with negative results.
