Resource Needs for the General Accounting Section:  Agency cash account tracking – maintain spreadsheet posting all account activity  Lock box account reconciliation  Post all daily transfers (from concentration account)  Post overnight repurchase agreement activity (daily)  Post cash receipts related to interest earned on overnight repurchase agreement activity  Post check disbursements  Create excel spreadsheets to expedite preparation (especially repetitive entries)  Interest income tracking/ reconciliation for investment accounts  Post cross-account transfers to/from Concentration account related to disbursement activity, i.e. transfer of funds to cover school’s payroll  Preparation of annual audit schedules  Support analysis for miscellaneous special reports  Analyze General Ledger accounts, as assigned  Process pay-ins for receipt of certain payments, including fees for election candidates.  Record lock box deposits  Process daily cash receipt interface  Follow up on errors/rejected items from daily cash receipt interface processing  Provide research, support and accounting guidance to departments and agencies  Filing documents related to this person’s work area  Organize system reports for General Accounting Section  Provide support to accounting supervisor on special projects as needed. Accounting Clerk I Performs accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Accounting Supervisor Responsible for supervision of accounting professionals. Oversees the calculating, posting, verifying, and typing duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Operates adding machine and calculator. Experience with automated financial systems. Accounts Payable Accountant      Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment Proficiency using automated financial systems and Microsoft Office products Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to work independently Education, Training and Experience Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business or other related field and 3 to 4 years Accounts Payable experience working with an automated financial system and financial analysis, preferably working with a diverse organization; or combination of education and work experience. Accounts Payable Technician Responsible for compiling amounts owed from purchase orders, charge slips, sales tickets, etc, and for preparing invoices and recording transactions. Maintains all payment records. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
