After	
  almost	
  a	
  year	
  of	
  planning	
  and	
  
                 	
  
preliminary	
  work,	
  the	
  first	
  Camp	
  Tiger	
  at	
  LSU	
  
School	
  of	
  	
  Medicine	
  in	
  Shreveport	
  took	
  place	
  
in	
  June	
  of	
  2000,	
  using	
  as	
  a	
  model	
  a	
  similar	
  
                 	
  
camp	
  started	
  in	
  1985	
  at	
  LSU	
  School	
  of	
  
Medicine	
  	
  in	
  New	
  Orleans.	
  From	
  its	
  
inception,	
  Camp	
  Tiger	
  has	
  been	
  planned,	
  
                 	
  
organized,	
  and	
  staffed	
  by	
  volunteers	
  from

  provided	
  free	
  of	
  charge	
  to	
  all

  This

  possible	
  due	
  to	
  the	
  hard	
  
                                                                                                                                              work	
  of	
  students	
  and	
  the	
  generosity	
  of	
  
                                                                                                                                              alumni,	
  parents,	
  and	
  local	
  businesses.	
  The	
  
                                                                                                                                              cost	
  of	
  the	
  camp	
  per	
  child	
  is	
  $550.	
  To	
  meet	
  
                                                                                                                                              our	
  goal	
  of	
  50	
  campers	
  participating	
  in	
  
                                                                                                                                              Camp	
  Tiger	
  2013,	
  we	
  are	
  hoping	
  to	
  raise	
  
                                                                                                                                              $27,500.	
  Any	
  support

  willing	
  
Camp	
  Tiger	
  is	
  an	
  annual	
  community	
                                                                                            to	
  provide	
  in	
  order
