    Conference Highlights
    Opening Forum: How Do We Engage/Learn From Each Other?
    Tuesday, March 6 | 6:00 PM-8:00 PM
    HARBORVIEW BALLROOM
    This forum is an opportunity to connect conference attendees with the same passions. Go-
    ing beyond a simple networking event, the facilitated format allows you to engage in small
    group, topical conversations and declare what you want to learn at BE12. By the end of the
    evening, groups will form and head out to dinner to continue their conversations. Light ap-
    petizers and cash bar.

    Keynote Experience: The Only Way To Predict the Future Is To Design It
    Wednesday, March 7 | 8:45 AM-10:30 AM
    PLENARY SPACE NEXT TO TRADE SHOW
    Three NESEA practitioners share their break-
    though thinking and practice. Each of them aims
    to predict their future by designing it. Join us as
    we reveal the historical and emerging know-how
    that is NESEA’s “secret sauce.” John Abrams...Next Economy, Chris Benedict...Intentional
    and Vicarious Learning, Bernice Radle...Cities as the Next Frontier, will provoke our learning
    community to consider what we each might do more boldly and how we might get there.
    This experience will be gently facilitated by Robert Leaver. Following the keynote will be the
    presentation of $10,000 to the winner of NESEA’s Zero Net Energy Building Award.
    Trade Show Reception
    Wednesday, March 7 | 5:30 PM-6:30 PM
    The trade show floor hosts an open networking event with a cash bar.
    Free with conference or trade show pass.
    NESEA “Clean Tech” Night Dinner Cruise
    Aboard the Spirit of Boston
    Wednesday March 7 | 6:30 PM-9:00 PM
    SPIRIT OF BOSTON DOCK
    NEXT TO THE SEAPORT WORLD TRADE CENTER
    Join your friends new and old for a delightful cruise with a buffet dinner and cash bar aboard
    the Spirit of Boston. Awards for Distinguished Service and Professional Leadership will be
    presented. Beyond that, it’s just a great networking party. SPACE IS LIMITED. Cost: $25 with
    conference registration; $75 with Trade Show registration.

    CITYVIEW BALLROOM - OPEN TO TRADE SHOW PASS HOLDERS
    We collectively reflect upon: What did you learn? What changed? This is a
    chance to express fresh edges we will explore. Declare a practice to apply or
    put forward raw material for BE13. By the end of this final session, we hope
    to have formed several post-BE12 communities of practice around topics
    people are passionate about. Special appearance by the city of Hamburg’s
    Senator Jutta Blankau.
