Trinity Consultants Announces New Corporate Leadership Role and New Kentucky Office Manager
Paul Smith is promoted to Director of Quality Management, and Michael Zimmer is appointed to lead the
firm’s office in Covington, Kentucky.
Online PR News – 26-March-2013 – Trinity Consultants, an international environmental consulting firm that
specializes in industrial air quality issues, recently named two new leaders to help grow its organization.
Paul J. Smith, PE has been appointed Director of Quality Management for the firm. In this role, he leads
initiatives to maintain and strengthen Trinity’s quality and knowledge management programs, working to
leverage the firm’s established quality-focused culture while also taking advantage of and implementing
evolving collaboration technologies. He is also responsible for maintaining Trinity’s corporate office
certification to the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard and for ensuring that the quality management system is
consistently implemented in all the consulting offices of the firm nationwide. Mr. Smith will remain in Trinity’s
Covington, Ky., office, which he previously managed for the past nine years. There, he will continue to apply
his two decades of experience to provide air consulting services to industrial clients and will continue to teach
several of Trinity’s training courses on air permitting requirements and auditing practices. Mr. Smith is a
licensed professional engineer who completed a B.S. and M.S. degrees in Environmental Engineering from
the University of Cincinnati.
Succeeding Mr. Smith in managing the Covington office is Michael P. Zimmer, PE. Mr. Zimmer has 20 years
of technical and consulting experience in the air quality field assisting facilities with air permit applications,
control technology analyses, air dispersion modeling, environmental impact analyses, emissions inventories,
and ambient air monitoring. As a licensed professional engineer, Mr. Zimmer has an extensive background in
various aspects of environmental engineering, from preliminary stack design to ventilation system
modifications to choosing suitable air pollution control devices. Mr. Zimmer has been a Project Manager with
Trinity for the past eight years in the Kentucky office. He earned a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering
from the University of Cincinnati, has written and presented multiple papers on technical aspects of chemical
speciation of fine particulate matter and the associated impacts, and presents frequently on various aspects
of State and federal air pollution regulations.
