AAESS is the peak professional organisation promoting excellence in, and recognition of, tertiary-trained Exercise Scientists, Exercise Physiologists and Sports Scientists who are in turn committed to best practice and client well-being. Responsibilities include:  Member Support Services  Processing member applications/renewals including  Reviewing/approving applications  Collection of monies  Cardlink web services  Development of membership cards and certificates  Receipting of monies  Updating member information  Allocation of member benefit  Providing a timely response to membership enquiries and complaints;  Secretarial support to the AAESS Executive Officer, National Board and Committees  Reception duties including:  answering of the AAESS phone,  collecting and sorting mail  responding to email enquiries  Maintenance of the member database and AAESS web site, this requires the use of  Microsoft Office  MYOB  Content Management System and Specialised Database Software  Assist in the preparation and planning of conferences, workshops, meetings, special events, the Association’s newsletter, publicity and promotional activities

 Coordinating the AAESS e-Newsletter including information bulletins and "Jobs Update"  Updating information on the AAESS website  Secure advertising for the quarterly AAESS newsletter  Assist with office protocols/procedures  Financial duties including:  book keeping, using MYOB to process invoices, payments, receipts  Undertake specific projects as directed by the Executive Officer. Essential Criteria 1 Accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with AAESS or an ability to gain immediate Accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist / HIC Provider Number. 2 Demonstrated experience in comprehensive assessment, development and management of Exercise Physiology programs for post-acute to chronic musculoskeletal injury and chronic diseases/conditions. 3 Ability and/or experience in the development of treatment requests and return to work program advice through effective liasons with GPs, insurers, rehabilitation providers and other stakeholders. 4 Ability to provide high quality, evidence-based and outcome-focused interventions for patients 5 Ability and/or experience in achieving outstanding return to work results or return to pre-injury function results for patients 6 Demonstrated experience in your attributes as a team player including examples of "going the extra mile" 7 Outstanding time management and organisation skills Desirable Criteria 1 Understanding of, and experience with Medicare EPC programs and processes 2 Demonstrated experience in leading group-based exercise classes 3 Additional qualifications/experience in Pilates; Yoga/Bodybalance; or Pre/Post Natal classes 4 Experience in/or exposure to Pain Management Programs (group or individual) 5 Experience in or understanding processes involved in promoting AEP services to stakeholders (eg GPs, insurers, rehab providers).NB: Funded training will be provided for the successful applicant/s upon commencement of employment to ensure they meet the ‘desirable criteria’.
