ZFF CSA 2013!
We are now offering Community Supported Agriculture shares for the 2013 growing season!
Our season will likely start late May/early June and run through mid-November, although
exact dates will be affected by the weather.

ABOUT THE FARM
Z Food Farm was formed in 2010 with the following mission: to promote food as a powerful
cultural force for interacting with our environment and within our communities by providing
certified organic, high quality, exciting varieties of vegetables, herbs, and fruits. We believe
that food is not only fundamental to our human existence, but that we can have a more
exciting and fulfilling way of life through eating!

WHAT WE GROW
Every year we attempt to grow over 350 varieties of the following vegetables, herbs, and
fruits: arugula, Asian greens, basil, beans, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots,
cantaloupe, cauliflower, celery & celeriac, chard, chives, cilantro, cucumbers, dill, eggplant,
fennel, garlic, ground cherries, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, lettuce, mint, okra, onions, parsley,
parsnips, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radicchio, radishes, rosemary, rhubarb, rutabaga,
sage, salad mix, scallions, shallots, spinach, summer squash, tomatillos, tomatoes, turnips,
watermelon, and winter squash. And we are always experimenting with more!

MEMBERSHIP TYPES AND AVAILABILITY
There are two different types of membership – Market Share and Farm Share – as described
below. Space in our CSA is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis for new
members. Returning members can sign up at any point before our first market.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNTS
There are two “early bird discount” deadlines, February 8 and March 1; the earlier you sign
up the bigger the discount!

SIGNING UP
If you are interested in signing up for a membership after reading this document, please
complete and send in the “2013 CSA Application” form (a separate Word attachment in the
same email) along with your payment.

All applications postmarked by March 1 will be accepted, and we hope to fill all the available
slots during this time period. If you are a new member and are unable to sign up by March 1,
please email me at zfoodfarm@gmail.com to confirm that memberships are still available.

                                                                                                   1
MARKET SHARE MEMBERSHIP
This is a CSA member system in which you support the farm by purchasing farm credit
before the season and receive bonus credit as a thank you.

Produce Distribution
You choose the exact variety and quantity of produce that you want! If you don’t like
tomatoes you don’t have to get tomatoes, or if you love kale you can get five bunches of kale!

Pickup Days
There are no assigned pickup days, so you can shop at any of our markets like a regular
customer, but since you have a pre-existing farm account you don’t need to remember to
bring cash. Perfect for people that can’t commit to a weekly pickup but are still
interested in supporting Z Food Farm and sharing in the bounty!
