FINANCIAL UPDATE October 2011 As we have communicated earlier, since the end of our fiscal year (June 30th) the General Fund is behind budget and we are just barely scraping by as the “slower” summer months and economy have taken a toll on our giving. Like everyone, the church is feeling the impact of the on-going economic recession and the volatility of the financial markets. Through September, we are experiencing a deficit of $113,000 which draws down our reserves significantly. While starting the fiscal year with a very lean budget, we have been able to keep expenses down to preserve our reserves. We have under spent expenses by 7%, but contributions are 2% below budget creating a larger deficit than anticipated. Please continue to pray for God’s provision for our financial goals. SCPC women - Do you want to be encouraged in your faith and find fullness and freedom in Christ? Join us as we learn from Paul in his letter to the Colossians.
