PARIS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
With more than 360 beds on two campuses, Paris Regional Medical Center (PRMC) provides a
wide variety of acute care medical services to meet the growing needs of Paris, Lamar County
and the two-state area.
Our facilities include an inpatient and outpatient cardiac care center, outpatient surgical center, a
dedicated orthopedic unit, radiology and lab services, pediatric services, women’s services,
emergency services and an inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation center. PRMC also operates
four rural health clinics, in Cooper, Bogota, Honey Grove and West Paris.
Senior Transitions is a behavioral medicine program that specializes in the treatment of
emotional disorders in older adults. These services are offered both on an inpatient and

equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and staffed by certified professionals in cardiovascular
The Heart Center is the only program in the area equipped to perform the life-saving balloon
angioplasty procedure, open heart surgery and heart valve replacement surgery. It also provides
the most advanced cardiac catheterization lab in the area, which has performed more than 8,000
catheterizations since opening in 1991.
DIABETES MANAGEMENT SERVICES
With proper management, every person with diabetes can have a full and active life by
controlling the disease and decreasing or preventing complications. Our team of diabetes
professionals can help with a thorough evaluation and individualized plan of care.
The Emergency Services Department stands ready to serve the community 24 hours a day with
emergency room physicians, staff and facilities. The 23-bed emergency room includes a special
section for handling cardiac and trauma cases. Around-the-clock lab and radiology services
support the emergency departments.
The Clarence A. Temple Orthopedic Center is a $2.5 million, 25-bed orthopedic center which
contains a central nurses’ station, lobby, patient and family education room, hydrotherapy area,
and a therapy room. Physical therapy services are offered for both inpatients and outpatients
through a cooperative agreement with the Physical Therapy Clinic of Paris.
General orthopedic surgery is offered in a number of specialties, including joint replacement,
hand injuries and orthopedic trauma care. The center offers pre-operative education and surgery
to rehabilitation and planning for your return home.
With today’s technology, many surgeries can successfully be done on an outpatient basis. The

injury or illness, and then prescribe the appropriate treatment to make sure you get the care you
need. Our experienced staff works together to provide quality medical imaging services in a
comfortable and convenient setting. Services include:
PRMC’s Rehabilitation Center includes a 30-bed, Medicare-certified, inpatient rehabilitation unit
offering an interdisciplinary team and family-centered approach to patient care. The
Rehabilitation Center provides services to patients with stroke, orthopedic disorders, amputation,
arthritis, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries and multiple trauma, and adults with
physical congenital deformities and burns.
WOMAN’S AND BABY’S HOSPITAL
The Woman’s and Baby’s Hospital is designed to create an environment of comfort that caters to
the special health care needs of women. The 25,000 square-foot facility provides obstetrical and
gynecological services in an attractive, welcoming atmosphere. On the first floor are the digital
mammography suites, bones density testing and ultrasound facilities. The second floor contains
labor-delivery-recovery suites, traditional delivery and postpartum rooms, the nursery, Level II
neonatal unit and general treatment rooms.
For most wounds, healing follows a relatively brief, predictable and uncomplicated course. But
some wounds are exceptions to the rule. That’s when The Wound Care Center can help. The
Center’s team of doctors and nurses is specially trained in the treatment of difficult to heal
wounds. The Wound Care Center program provides a thorough diagnostic appraisal, followed by
a carefully designed care management program that results in outstanding healing rates for
patients completing the program.
