1. Procedures:              Class Rules                   (2-5 min)
   Read, Listen, and Speak
   Class Rules
 Students will review them.
 This lesson plan will take two classes to complete.


2. Warm Up:                 Vocabulary Review              (2-5 min)
   Read, Listen, and Speak
 Students will choral read needed vocabulary for class. The words are: Bed,
   Chair, Desk, Sofa, Table, In, On, In front of, Under, Between, Next to, Behind,
    and Above.


3. Lesson:                   Activities                   (10-20 min)
   Read, Write, Listen, and Speak
   Students will take out their English book and demonstrate the words: In, On, In
    front of, Under, Between, Next to, Behind, and Above.
   Students will participate in a special power point game using the vocabulary.
   Students will complete a worksheet, “Where is Puppy?” After completion, the
    students will write their answers on the board. Then we will read the sentences
    together.


4. Lesson:                 Games                          (50-70 min)
   Read, Listen, and Speak
   What is missing?                                   (5 min)
     Teacher will show students pictures of vocabulary and they will need to
       remember what word is missing?
   Name that place:                                    (5-10 min)
     We will practice the sentence structure: “Where’s my ____?” and “It’s ____
       the _________.”
     I will give them pictures and ask them, “Where’s my ____?” and the student
       will reply, “It’s ____ the _________.”
   Board Game:         Honeycomb Challenge               (10 min)
     Procedure:
         Groups of four or five
             Don’t bend, rip, or hurt games!!
             NO CHINESE!!
             Put your eraser on Start.
             Person goes first.
             Roll dice, move your eraser.
             Say word.
             If correct-stay
             If wrong-go back one


   Board Game:            Chutes and Ladders             (10 min)
     Students will be in groups of four or five
     Instructions will include:
         Don’t bend, rip, or hurt games!!
         NO CHINESE!!
             Put your eraser on Start.
             Person goes first.
             Roll dice, move your eraser.
             Say word:
             If you land on a snake go down!
             If you land on a ladder go up!


   Dominoes:                                          (10 min)
     Procedures:
        Students will be in groups of four or five
        Students will place the food picture by its English word-it will form a
            circle. First group done will win.


   Describe the Picture:                               (10 min)
     Procedures:
         Students will be in groups of four or five
         Teacher will describe the picture the student will find it and hold it up.
         If time permits, teacher will describe the word and student must hold
              up word and say it.



5. Closure:                Review Vocabulary            (5 min)
   Read, Listen, and Speak
 Students will choral read the food vocabulary from Unit one: Bed, Chair, Desk,
    Sofa, Table, In, On, In front of, Under, Between, Next to, Behind, and Above.


6. Extension Exercise:       Show and Tell                 (2-5 min)
   Read, Write, Listen, and Speak
 Now it’s the students turn.
   I will ask the students, “Where’s my book?”
   Students must answer with, “It’s _____ the desk.”
 Students will then use their books to demonstrate the vocabulary. They will
   then write a sentence about it. Lastly, they will read sentence to the class.
