MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: For external use only. Keep out of eyes, ears, mouth. Hibiclens is irritating to the eye and should not be used as a preoperative skin preparation of the periorbital or eyelid areas. Misuse of Hibiclens has been reported to cause serious and permanent eye injury when it has been permitted to enter and remain in the eye during surgical procedures. Chlorhexidine Gluconate has been reported to cause deafness when instilled in the middle ear through perforated ear drums. If any of the mentioned areas come into contact with this product, promptly and thoroughly rinse the affected area with water. Also avoid contact with meninges. If any adverse reaction should occur discontinue use immediately.
