It is with great pleasure that I am seeking a fulltime position with your company. I have
completed my Chef Training course and a Food and Nutrition Management course
through George Brown College. I am an enthusiastic, energetic and self-starting
individual who is excited to try new job experiences, as this will further educate me in
my field of work.

I have been on two different placements during school. One was for three weeks which
was at Hillsdale Long Term Care Facility, and the other was for 4 weeks at Thorntonview
Long Term Care Facility. When I was done my placement at Thorntonview LTC, they
offered me the part-time cook position. I have found with my experience at Thortonview
LTC, that I have been able to use my knowledge in the proper cooking for the residents,
considering all diet types.

As I was working as a cook at Thorntonview I had gotten a position as the Food Service
Supervisor at Strathaven Life Care Centre, a home of 250 residents. In this position, I
have learned a lot about budgeting, large scale cooking, scheduling and following all
Ministry regulations.

I am eager to include what I have learned through my schooling, experiences and
placements into a position with your company to help students follow a healthy lifestyle.
