                                                   Practice areas: Product Liability, Toxic Torts, Business Litigation,
                                                   Medical Malpractice and Pharmaceutical Liability, Employment Law

                      Tony Agudelo’s practice encompasses complex cases in product liability, toxic torts including
                      asbestos, medical malpractice, premises liability, personal injury, liquor liability, employment
                      discrimination, and business disputes. Before joining SRBC in 2000, he was an associate for five
                      years at a civil litigation firm in Richmond, Virginia, where he represented clients in a similar broad
                      range of matters.

                      Tony has represented manufacturers in product liability claims involving a variety of products, from
                      power tools to lawn and garden equipment and other consumer goods. He also has experience in
                      products cases involving motor vehicles, construction machinery, household appliances,
                      pharmaceuticals, and children’s play equipment. Many of these cases have involved complicated
                      medical and scientific evidence.

                      Tony’s medical malpractice cases have involved claims of failure to diagnose various types of cancer
                      and other illnesses; failure to recognize and diagnose child abuse and provide proper social services;
                      failure to render appropriate medical treatment during a stress test; surgical malpractice; misfilling of
                      prescriptions; inadequate and improper psychiatric and psychological counseling rendered by HMOs;
                      failure to diagnose pneumococcal meningitis; negligent collection of blood by a phlebotomist and a
                      blood collection organization; and medical negligence and lack of informed consent in a transfusion-
                      related HIV case. He also successfully argued an appeal before the Supreme Court of Virginia in a
                      medical malpractice case involving the admissibility of evidence of a physician’s usual practices and
                      habits on the issue of negligence.

                      In addition to his trial practice, Tony has been active in pro bono work. He has represented a
                      volunteer emergency rescue worker injured at the World Trade Center after 9/11 and an indigent
                      person who was being wrongly evicted from her home. He also served on the Health Law Section
                      Council for the Massachusetts Bar Association for three years and was the Section Editor for the
                      Council, and currently serves on the Civil Litigation Section Council for the Massachusetts Bar
