Introduction
Kurzweil 3000 is a scanning, reading, and typing program. It helps people with difficulty
reading text that was scanned by a scanner by reading it aloud using a synthetic voice. It
can also read back typed text, which is helpful for people with writing difficulties.


Follow These Directions
   1. Start Kurzweil 3000 by double-clicking
      the Kurzweil 3000 icon on the desktop.
   2. Play the videos and then try the examples
      in the video on your own. Pause the
      video and then switch to Kurzweil 3000
      by clicking the program button in the
      taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
   3. Click this link:

       Click a video to watch (see below for a list of videos)
       Videos take a few moments to buffer, which places it in memory, before
          starting automatically.
       Use the mouse to click the Play button to either pause or resume the video.
       If parts of the picture appear cut off, try increasing the zoom. To do this,
          position the mouse pointer anywhere on the video and click the right mouse
          button. Hover the mouse pointer over Zoom and then click Full Screen. Press
          the Esc key on the keyboard to resume with the previous zoom level.
       When a video has finished, click the Back button in the internet browser to
          go back to the main menu.
