CELL PHONES!
Cell Phone Viruses
As of now, cell phone viruses cannot spread very far, and do very little damage. A cell phone virus is basically the same thing as a computer virus.
It is an executable file that “infects” a device and then copies itself to other devices Spreads through internet downloads, MMS, or Bluetooth
Only smartphones are at risk.
User has to agree at least once, sometimes twice in order to run the infected file.
A virus might access and/or delete all of the contact information and calendar entries in your phone.
Worst case scenario? It could lock up certain applications or crash your phone completely. To protect yourself, never open anything that you don’t know what it is, and check security updates regularly for filenames you should watch out for.
Cell Phone Spam/Spyware
Cell phone spam comes in the forms of text messaging or phone calls
It is used as advertising, and often adds up on
a cell phone bill, especially if texting isn’t part of the person’s plan Cell phone spyware is used for lurking into cell phone calling and texting logs It is often used for monitoring spouses and children, sometimes called a Trojan Horse.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for connecting devices, set to replace cables.
It uses radio frequencies in the 2.45 GHz
range to transmit information over short distances of generally 33 feet (10 meters) or less. With Bluetooth chips and receivers in products, cables that would normally carry the signals are eliminated.

Cell Phone Security
Eavesdropping -It is possible to listen in on conversation by tapping into the frequency. This can be corrected by encrypting the phone’s signal. Cell phones are small, so they are easily lost or stolen Cloning -Fraudulent charges can be made to a cell phone user’s account if someone gets access to the serial number of the phone. Cell phones can get viruses in many of the same ways computers do.
