November 2008 Volume 12, Issue 8 “Bible vs. Cell Phone” Upcoming Emmaus Walks Nov. 20-23 Women’s Walk #38 Feb. 19-22 Men's Walk #31 Have you ever wondered what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone? March 19-22 Women's Walk #39 What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets every day? What if we flipped through it several time a day? 2008 Gatherings November 25, 2008 What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? December 09, 2008 What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it? 2009 Gatherings January 27,2009 What if we gave it to Kids as gifts? February 24, 2009 March 24, 2009 What if we used it when we traveled? April 28, 2009 What if we used it in case of emergency? May 26, 2009 June 23, 2009 Kind of makes you wonder where your Bible is … doesn’t it! Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our July 28, 2009 cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected, because Jesus already paid August 25, 2009 this bill. PLEASE WEAR YOUR NAME BADGES! Remember when you checked in at the registration table on your Walk? One of the first things that happened was that you got your own personal name badge. Please wear it to EVERY Emmaus event. Why? So we can get to know each other. When the new pilgrims see your badge, they learn to wear theirs and to appreciate the history of this community. Imagine the conversation between a pilgrim from Walk 37 and one from Walk 1. We have a long special history of making disciples for Christ -- so let's share our story with others AND each other. 2 • The Ark Agape Women’s Good Shepherd Greetings Brothers and Sisters, The November Women’s Walk will take place soon.
