Is Pilates Reformer Right for me?

The Pilates Method is practiced by men and women of all ages and fitness levels. Professional dancers and athletes utilize the Method to build strength, increase flexibility, and prevent injury. It is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on abdominal and back strengthening, Pilates has become the exercise program of choice for people with chronic pain. If you are suffering or returning from an injury, you must always consult your physician before starting any exercise program. Our experienced instructor will be able to modify the exercises to ensure a safe, effective program.

The small group classes emphasize rhythmic, fluid movements which the participants perform in unison. The instructor guides the group through the Pilates exercises. Each session will build upon the previous, challenging the group and maximizing the results. These 4 week sessions will always begin on the first FULL week of the month and meet on a specific day and time each week. In order to participate in a small group, a member is required to have three private Pilates sessions. This ensures your safety, builds understanding of the essential principles, and creates a strong foundation.

“A few well-designed movements, properly performed in a balanced sequence, are worth hours of doing sloppy calisthenics or forced contortion”
