Mr. Engineer is an event our organization has
done for at least the past 7 years. It is usually
successful and fun which is why we continue to
do it and donate the money we raise to THON.
Mr. Org is a male beauty pageant featuring 6-10
male engineering students. Each contestant will
compete in professional wear; where we ask
them interview questions, ;nerdy wear; where
they show off their inner nerd, and talent. One
or two of our members will MC the event, and
we are hiring a DJ to play music during the
performance. We will also try to get a
performance group, such as Blue in the Face, to
perform. The event is voluntary and the
contestants will only be given a small goody bag
for their participation. The winner is given 40%
of the proceeds, but it must go toward their
THON organization's total, so all of the money
will be donated to THON. The remaining 60% will
go towards our THON total. We will begin selling
tickets and advertising the event on January 9th

at 7:30pm. One of the awards that will be given

We will take pre-orders from people interested
in buying doughnuts and then arrange a time for
them to come pick up the doughnuts from us in
the HUB. This pre-order sale will be similar to
ordering boxes of Girl Scout cookies. The
customer will specify which type of doughnut he
or she wants and how many boxes (each box has
a dozen inside). We will use pre-sell forms
available on Krispy Kreme's website to keep
track of the orders. After we have our orders, we
will contact Krispy Kreme and order the
appropriate number of boxes. It will cost us
$4.25 to buy each box, but we are permitted to
sell each box for $8.50. This way we make a
$4.25 profit on each box of doughnuts. Please
note that the fundraiser does not actually take
place at Krispy Kreme. We will take pre-sale
orders at school and then get the boxes of

The Red Cross is looking to partner with our org
to host a blood drive to benefit THON. We would
get $4 per presenting donor and there are no
costs to our org. We would host the drive in the
parking lot of CVS because we feel we can get
more involvement from the public if it is off
campus in a more visible location. This is the
same drive that would have been hosted at
Giant if they had gotten back to us. Blood Drive $ 64.00 $ -

reveal (and different alumni group totals), and a
catered meal. We are planning on having a well-
known MC host the event. Also, we will have a
VIP reception area separate from the floor to
cater to our VIPs. One way to raise money for
the event costs that has been discussed is asking

One Step Closer For Em and sold them for $5
each. We sold them on campus to people
involved in THON, alumni from Org and friends
and family of the Whiteheads. We just gave each
of our members 10 bracelets and let them sell
them on their own and bring back the money. If
we sell them all we should make about $1200
profit. It has been very successful so far, and the
Whiteheads may order more to sell themselves
after THON is over. If you need any more details
please let me know! Merchandise Sale $ 1,310.00 $ 150.00

We will have 5 jars set out, much like our
previous Penny Wars but they will represent
something different this time. Instead of each
department being represented, a jar will be for
one boy and one girl from each department
running for Mr. and Mrs. Org. Every cent is 1
vote. The money will be collected and the
couples will be ranked from 1 to 5 (1 making the
most money, 5 making the least). On February
8th at our meeting for THON, we will have the
couples come up front and perform. They can
sing, do a dance, speak to us, show off a cool
talent, etc... From there, the organization will
submit votes to rank the couples from 1 to 5 (1
being the best, 5 being their least favorite). The
couple with the lowest total (after adding
everyone's rank) will be ranked 1, and the
highest total will be ranked 5th. Using the two
ranks (from money votes and peer votes), a Mr.
and Mrs. will be selected. THON weekend, they
may wear a homemade sash in the stands (or on
the floor, if they're dancing!). The couple that
the winning department is from will receive
credit towards our impending Org Cup. This

strangers. Or, you can try to clip them on their
person for them to discover later on. The goal is
