This will be based on the first 100 applications approved. The key requirements are  Be a citizen of the Kingdom of Thailand, aged 18-30 and not be accompanied by children.  Have a tertiary qualification which has taken at least 3 years full-time study to obtain.  Have NZ$7,000 available in the applicants name to be used as financial support.  Have a „functional‟ level of English (equivalent to IELTS 4.5)  Be of good character and health  To hold medical and comprehensive hospitalisation insurance for the duration of stay in New Zealand A Working Holiday Visa allows a 12 month stay in New Zealand. Employment is permitted during that time in any legal employment. You will also be restricted to working for no more than three months with any one employer. Please note that it is a condition of every temporary visa/permit holder that they may not, while in New Zealand: i ii iii Provide commercial sexual services; or Act as an operator of a New Zealand business of prostitution; or Invest in a New Zealand business of prostitution. You can also undertake a single course of study of not more than 3 months. A checklist of documents required is below. This checklist has been designed to assist you when lodging your application for a Thailand Working Holiday Visa with Immigration New Zealand. Please note that you may be requested to provide further documents not listed below in support of your application. Documents required:    Fully completed “Application for a New Zealand Working Holiday” (NZIS 1085) form. This form can be downloaded from www.immigration.govt.nz A recent passport sized photograph to be attached to the application form. The application fee of Thai Baht 2,800 Acceptable modes of payment include cashier cheque when you apply in person, bank draft payable to the “New Zealand Embassy (New    Zealand Immigration Service)” or credit card (Master Card/ Visa Card). Please note that this fee is a processing fee and is NON-REFUNDABLE regardless of the outcome of your visa application. Your original passport or certified true copy of your passport. Evidence of your tertiary qualification including the course transcript. Evidence of funds to support yourself which must be a minimum of NZ$7,000.00 for the duration of the period you intend to stay in New Zealand. This can be in the form of a bank statement or copy of bank passbook, traveler‟s cheques or credit card statements showing available balances. Temporary Entry X-ray Certificate (NZIS 1096) not more than 3 months old completed by an INZ approved Panel Doctor.  Evidence of English language ability – please provide a covering letter stating background details of your English language ability and attaching evidence of this. Such acceptable evidence can be:  An IELTS or TOEFL test score; or  Any other certificates or reports from an English language institute confirming completion of your English language course; or  Evidence of having completed all primary and at least 3 years‟ of secondary education where English was the medium of instruction; or  Evidence of completing 5 years‟ of secondary education where English was the medium of instruction; or  Evidence of gaining a post-secondary qualification of 2 years full-time study or training where English was the medium of instruction Thai Government Requirements Before submitting your application to Immigration New Zealand in Bangkok you will be required to obtain a letter from the Office of Welfare Promotion, Protection and Empowerment of Vulnerable Groups.(Phone: +66 255-5850-7 or +66 2 253 9116-7 Website: www.opp.go.th)  Medical and Hospitalisation Insurance: Please note that you must hold Comprehensive Medical and Hospitalisation Insurance for the duration of time you intend to stay in New Zealand. This may be required to be presented upon arrival in New Zealand. The lists of appointed panel doctors: Bangkok Global Doctor, Bangkok Nursing Home Hospital, Bamrungrad Hospital, Samitivej Hospital Chiang Mai Wattana-Niramon Clinic, Special Medical Service Centre (Faculty of Medicine, Chiangmai University), Drs. Vanachantra-Charas Clinic Khon Kaen Srinagarind Hospital, Khon Kaen Ram Hospital Note: Certified translation into English is required for all documents not in English. Lodging Your Application: You can lodge an online application by logging on to www.immigration.govt.nz and following the link of “Thai Working Holiday Scheme” Or your application may be submitted in person or via mail/courier to: Immigration New Zealand, NZ Embassy M Thai Tower, 15th Floor, All Seasons Place, 87 Wireless Road Bangkok 10330 Thailand Phone:+66 2-654 3444 Fax: +66 2-654 3445 Our office is open from 9am – 12pm and from 1.00pm to 3pm from Monday to Friday. Processing time: Working Holiday applications are usually decided within 10 working days once all the necessary requirements have been provided to us.
