What is your reaction to the judging by the professional judges? (23) (11) (5) (0) (2) Excellent Good OK Needs Improvement No Answer
Comments: Does not apply. They need to judge by style not by their own personal taste. Very nice judges. I thought that they were really nice and it made me calm down a lot. Very nice. I thought the judges were friendly. The judges were confusing. I wasn’t sure what they wanted me to do. Very friendly. Don’t look so stern. These were the best judges in the three times I have been here. The judges were really nice; I loved them. The judges were polite, but don’t look so serious. Loved them, very nice. Fun, nice.

During 2007, we received a notice from the State Days Committee that we are going to have to drastically reduce our state fashion revue budget. We don’t want to lose the program altogether, though we may have to do so. We have asked agents and leaders what they want done. We would like to ask for your help to see if we can provide a similar program at a lower cost. Please indicate which of the following would be acceptable to you. (6) (4) (4) (29) (2) Have the fashion revue at the Farm Show Have the fashion show, without the judging Have the judging without the fashion show Have the fashion revue in the afternoon, rather than the evening No answer
Comments: We could have a lot of different fund raisers like selling candy, cookie dough, and pizza. Don’t take it away. Don’t take it away! Possibly (1); No way (2); No way, Love modeling & judging (3); I absolutely love coming here. I’ve learned so much! Still have it here and then if they want to they can go to Farm Show. But, it is unfair to just cut the program, if so just cut all programs.

How would you feel about utilizing a consumer component to the fashion revue? In addition to the garment made and presented, each participant would also have the option of modeling an outfit that they purchased for themselves. This would likely take place of the workshop. Participants choosing not to bring the extra purchased outfits would serve as judges. The winners of the consumer component (Top 3) would model at some point in the fashion show. (22) (17) (2) I would like this a lot I would not participate in this I like the idea but would change it in this way . . .
5.
What was your reaction to the workshop sessions? (14) (15) (5) (7) I learned a lot. (List one thing which you learned.) I already knew most of what was presented, but I learned . . . I felt it wasn’t worth the time. No answer

State 4-H Fashion Revue (continued) 2007 Evaluation Comments: 6. About make-up. To take your make-up before you sleep. I did not take part in the workshops. I was a reader. The scissor workshop was GREAT! I had no idea of doing anything minus the make-up. Scissor idea. My skin type. It’s more fun to do things like the cosmetic workshop rather than the photo thing. I learned how to make a scissor holder. To make cover out of a pot holder. Very helpful. How to make a picture frame. A little about skin care. Just a time waster. I say we come at a specified judging time, get judged, then leave. They were easy projects, but stress free! About face things. How to make a scissor holder. I really liked the make-up workshop. I learned how to make scissors. I had fun doing them; I didn’t really learn anything though. My skin type. I learned how to sew on beads to a material. Just improved beading. I like the workshops. They keep my mind off the fashion revue and get to meet other participants. I learned how to make a scissors holder. I liked the Clinique Shop; however, I feel workshops with use less crafts waste valuable money that can keep the program. They were fun.
What workshop sessions would you suggest for next year? Have none. Take a nap! Nap time! Ones that deal with the changing fashion industry. I liked the workshop. Scarf making. Scrapbook pages outfit workshop: how man outfits you can make with a few.

More crafty stuff. Modeling, stage prescence. I think they should give us tips and tricks for sewing. Memory page. Fleece blanket making. Modeling and posture. Hair styling. Making earrings. I think they should show you how to do your hair. Making a knit jacket. Make-up and hair. To make a scrapbook. Something useful, make-up, colors, styles.
Do you feel you had enough practice time before presenting the fashion show? (22) (6) (4) (7) (2) Just right amount Longer time needed Shorter time needed No comment No answer
Comments: 8. Get judged then leave. Just perfect. I learned a lot. Stage practice was really bad. An extra two minutes wouldn’t have hurt. They need to teach modeling to regionals though.
What are your reactions to the State 4-H Fashion Revue Committee? (20) (17) (2) (2) Helpful and friendly OK Not available or unfriendly No answer

State 4-H Fashion Revue (continued) 2007 Evaluation Comments: 9. Kind of unorganized. Thank you Jan for sewing me into my dress. You’re a lifesaver! Everyone was a little uptight about the show. Besides that everyone was nice. If you would like us to be prompt, please be here on time yourselves. Many complications/misunderstandings between printed directions and what really occurred. Get more organized. They were really nice especially since I get lost all the time and need the help. Very nice. Not here early enough. They said we could change at 7:00 a.m., but we couldn’t till after registration at 7:15 or 7:30. No one was here for registration at the time scheduled. Thanks, very helpful.
If you could choose between the following, which would you select? (We cannot do both.) (3) (25) (12) (1) Have more time for judging and less 4-H members participating at state. Keep the 3-minute judging time and keep the 60 members participating at state. Either way, it doesn’t matter to me. No answer
10.
When the top ten honors group is announced, which would you prefer? (22) (15) (4) Have all 60 participants on stage, and have individuals step forward. Have all 60 participants off stage, and have top ten come on stage as announced. No answer
12.

Comments: Overall a good time, but we were upset that door was not opened the night before like stated on the information packets. Thank you! Tell us before hand the theme please! It would help a lot. I feel if you drop or cut back on the fashion and maybe next year you might not want to worry about doing it. It is great for these girls to meet each other and show off what they made to others. I have enjoyed all my time being at all Penn State Fashion Revues.
