Multimedia Photoshop CS3 Lesson 2 Objective: Upon completing of this lesson the student will be able to: 1. Understand layers in Photoshop 2. Hide/Show Layers 3. Rename Layers 4. Delete Layers. 5. Use the History Pallette to Undo actions 6. Crop and Straighten Images 7. Use the Transform command to Scale, Rotate, Flip, Skew and Distort images Assessment: No formal assessment today. Students will be observed during the lesson for comprehension. Activities: 1. Students will open the included sample files and make adjustments as taught in the lesson videos. 2. The student will open his photos taken during the Digital Photography unit and crop, straighten, Flip, Rotate as needed to correct image problems. Materials: Photoshop VideosLayers Cropping and Transforming Images Steps: Cropping and Resizing 1. Click on The computer accessories. Open the P Drive and open Multimedia. Open Photoshop Lesson Open Lesson 2 and then open Sample Files. 2. Double click on 02Start.psd. 3. Click on the Crop tool bar. ( Letter C) 4. Click on the left corner and drag a marquee around the photo. 5. Turn on the Perspective on. 6. Then line up your marquee until it is straighten, 7. Try it again until there are no white edges. 8. Save the File as Crop. jpg in your photo file. 9. Double click on the background lock layer, to create a layer O. 10. Click on Edit Transform. 11. Click on Scale. Click on Ctrl as you resize your picture. 12. Click on Step backward. 13. Go over different Transform layer options. 14. Do not save and close. Layer 1. Click on The computer accessories. Open the P Drive and open Multimedia. Open Photoshop Lesson Open Lesson 2 and then open Sample Files. 2. Click on each layer and close the eye to discover what the layer does. 3. Rename the layers by what is on it. 4. Delete layer 4 or the moon layer 5. Using history, bring the moon back. 6. Save as space to your photo drive.
