Plans are underway for an exciting 2013 Family Reunion in Los Angeles, California. Mark
your calendars for: June 21-23, 2013.

For your information I am enclosing a fact sheet on the hotel. Amenities include:
1. Three restaurants: J.W.’s Steak house, Latitude 33, and Champions
2. Starbucks Coffee Shop, Kinko’s Business Center, and Dolce La Vita
Premiere Salon located in the main lobby
3. Shuttle transportation to and from the airport
4. Health club and tropical pool
Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at 310-641-5700. Individuals must
identify themselves as being with the Banks-Horton Family Reunion. Hotel Reservations must
be received on or before June 3, 2013. Our family room rate is $115.00 plus state and local
taxes at time of check in. This special rate is available for early check-in before Friday and
after Sunday. Just mention the group name.
The reunion activities will include:
Friday, June 21, 2013 ~ Registration and Sign-in – 5:00-6:30 pm
Family Reunion Banquet – 6:30 pm
Get Re-acquainted, Entertainment, Talent, and more
Saturday, June 22, 2013 ~ Picnic, Fun & Games

Registration Deadline: May 1, 2013
REGISTRATION: Ages 12 and up $150.00
Ages 11-7 100.00
Ages 6 and below 50.00
Please send information about your family that you would like included on Friday night during
the Banquet. This may include births, marriages, graduations, special awards, achievements,
engagements, etc. For Sunday, we also need the names of those family members who have
passed since 2011.

Los Angeles has a number of activities for adults and children. There are a number of theme
parks, historical sites, shopping malls, and beaches in Los Angeles County waiting for you!
Later we will provide an update of activities for Saturday evening, and include information for
those who are planning to arrive early or stay after our family activities have concluded.
Please note, registration does not include any extra activities outside of the regular Family
Reunion activities.

To the Scholarship Applicant:
A complete Scholarship Packet should include: (1) Application, (2) proof of graduation by
either an official (embossed seal) transcript from your high school or official verification letter
from your school, (3) a copy of the acceptance letter from the college, university, technical
school or institution of higher education where you have been accepted, and (4) an essay not
to exceed 300 words entitled “Who am I in the Banks Horton Family and why do I believe I
should be awarded the Banks Horton Scholarship Fund.”
