Currently, the College of Cardinals are in Rome and they are gathered together to elect the next pope. They are currently at the Papal Conclave in the Sistine Chapel in Rome under lock and key. They started the process 2 days ago and the whole world is waiting in anticipation for the “white smoke” to come out of the chimney which signifies that a new pope has been elected. The new Pope is chosen once they reach 2/3 of the vote or 77 cardinal votes. Once that is reached, then they will announce “Habemus Papam” – “We Have a Pope!” I can’t imagine I’m going to see the 3rd Pope in my lifetime. I do miss Pope John Paul II. He was a very charismatic Pope and loved the youth. I also love his openness to people from other religions (ecuminism). I wrote down this article in order to start a prayer chain. Kindly share this article with your friends and as you do so, please pray for our new Pope. Created using Zinepal. Go online to create your own eBooks in PDF, ePub, Kindle and Mobipocket formats. 1
