Term two is racing along with week six ending on Friday. We have four weeks remaining of this term to complete our “At Play” term theme. Last night it was my pleasure to attend the “Kids for Kids” Concert at the Rotorua Convention Centre. Our senior school choir were part of the Rotorua schools’ choir that sang with Suzanne Prentice. The concert is used as a fundraiser for World Vision and also provides the children an opportunity to sing with a large choir on a stage in front of a large audience. Mrs. Rosalie Palmer has worked with this choir since the beginning of the year and does an excellent job tutoring them. The evening was most enjoyable and we were most proud of the children who took part. Congratulations to Jemimah Rumming who was selected to sing a solo as part of the concert and to Mrs Palmer for her hard work. Tomorrow this choir will be singing at our school assembly at 1.30pm. If you have a free half hour come along and listen to them sing.

Thanks to all the parents and caregivers who are leaving a message on the office phone explaining their child’s absence. It has also been helpful for the teachers when students come back from being away and bring notes back to explain why they have been away. The school is closely monitoring absences this year and your assistance has been great in this matter.
