   Important Dates
                                                           Classroom News
    Wednesday, March 14th – SAT-
        10/TCAP Parent Night
           (CANCELLED)                             We are in need of a few items for our classroom as
                                                    our stock is near empty. If you can send in one or

Literacy Tip: Don’t just read a story to your child at night—ask them questions about what is being
read. Who are the characters? Where does this story take place? What was the problem and how
was it resolved? What happened first, next, and last?

                                               Math: Please continue to practice writing, and reading
                                               number sentences and using the proper academic vocabulary at
                                               home! We are now working more with subtraction and have
                                               added the terms “subtract” and “minus” to our vocabulary. The
                                               students are learning what key words to listen for
                                               or to look for as they hear or read a problem
                                               that will help them determine if the problem
       Related Arts                            will be an addition problem or a subtraction
                                               problem. They are also learning to show their

                                               manipulatives, through a diagram/picture, a

                                                    something in which to collect the eggs that
