TROOP 814 NIGHT SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIP SAT JANUARY 31
We have two scenarios for the lift ticket rates. 1. If we buy 20 or more lift tickets the rates are as follows: $27 high school age or younger and $55 for adults. 2. If we buy less than 20 lift tickets the rates are as follows: Ages 5-12 are $31 and 13 and up are $59. These higher rates are supported by the Buddy Passes attached to a Vail Resorts season pass (Epic, Colorado, or Summit) at 6 tickets per pass. Josh and I each have a pass so we have the power to purchase 12 lift tickets between us however; if anyone else can donate some of their Buddy Passes so we don’t have to use all of ours let me know by e-mailing Debbie Hughes at LeftDeafDeb@comcast.net. Hopeful we will get orders for 20 or more lift tickets so we won’t have to mess with the Buddy Passes. The Other Important Details: On Saturdays Keystone’s lifts open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 8:30 p.m. Dress in layers and prepare for extremely cold conditions once the sun goes down. Due to the extended time we will be there everybody will need a lunch and dinner, be it brown bagging (bring a daypack or rent a locker?) or enough money to purchase food on the mountain (1 large piece of pizza, a large soda, and a cookie is about $17). We will park in the River Run Lot for logistical reasons. Equipment should be rented in Denver if needed. The money for the #1 scenario will need to be paid in advance when you put your name on the sign up sheet (Checks payable to Troop 814). If additional money is needed we will collect it later. Our departure time from St. Joseph’s as well as breakfast plans will be up for discussion next Tuesday at the scout meeting. All friends and family are welcome to join us (in fact they are encouraged to come so we can get better rates). Do Not Forget, however, all non Boy Scout minors must have an adult that is responsible for them. If you have any questions of comments please e-mail Debbie Hughes at the above e-mail address. Parents who can drive, let us know how many extra seats you may have. Dan and Josh Hughes
