									SKI SNOWBOARD LIFESTYLE
2009/10 A supplement to Canwest Publications

March 1, 2009

Dear Potential Advertiser, As the Editor and Creative Director of Kootenay Mountain Culture Productions, I’m very pleased to let you know that we’re extremely excited about producing Canwest’s upcoming ski and snowboard insert, Elevate. Our award winning and highly experienced team of designers, editors, photo editors and production management experts are looking forward to producing all the magazine’s creative for the second year in a row. Once again, we plan on having a diverse mix of editorial that explores a wide range of places and personalities as they pertain to Canadian ski and snowboard culture. With a pre-Olympic launch date, we’ll be showcasing a good amount of competition coverage, but with a decidedly unique approach you won’t find in other publications and news media. As a longtime Senior Correspondent for the industry leading title, Powder Magazine, the Editor of Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine, a highly successful publication based out of Nelson, British Columbia, and the 2007 recipient of Tourism B.C.’s Travel Media award, I can assure you that my experience in this industry will result in another publication that is inherently professional, relevant and of great interest to its readers. In concert with our Art Director, Chris Rowat, who spent 10 years as a senior designer with Toronto’s highly respected Bruce Mau Design, as well as our extremely talented core of contributing writers and photographers — some of the very best in the world — Elevate promises to be a stunning publication once again. I encourage you to jump on for the ride. Be a part of a unique, beautifully produced publication that will be read cover to cover by hundreds of thousands of people right across the nation and beyond. If you have any questions regarding the editorial and creative direction of the magazine, please feel free to contact me at: mscott@kmcmag.com; or phone me at 250-448-4754.
