There’s a definite spirit of celebration in Adelboden. Coinciding with this year’s golden jubilee of the International Adelboden Ski Days, the prominence and competence of Adelboden in hosting one of Switzerland’s th th most important winter sports events will be further underlined. On 7 and 8 January 2006, the world’s best male downhill skiers will be competing for the coveted place on the winner’s podium in the Giant Slalom on Saturday, followed by the Slalom on Sunday. The spectators’ platform has been extended by 550 seats to a new total capacity of 4200, making Adelboden’s the largest on the entire FIS World Cup circuit.
