All programs listed in this directory (except DUI and PC1000 programs) receive funding through contracts with the County of San Diego. Services include alcohol and drug and/or mental health services, including prevention, treatment, and recovery programs. Services are for Medi-Cal and individuals without insurance. Programs may charge program fees based on the individuals income and ability to pay. No one can be denied services based on an inability to pay. Except as restricted by state licensing regulations, services are provided without discrimination on the basis of age, sex, race, disability, or ability to pay. Client fees are waived for Medi-Cal eligible persons participating in Medi-Cal certified services (except for required share of cost).

Tips for assisting individuals to access services:      You can call or have the individual call the Behavioral Health Access and Crisis Line (BH ACL) at (800) 4793339. The BH ACL operates 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. Trained clinicians on the BH ACL will assess client’s needs, and work with him/her to decide on how best to meet their needs, within the range of services the client is eligible for. The BH ACL will make every effort to connect the individual with services that are geographically accessible and that meet the specific language and cultural needs of the individual. In addition to the programs listed in this directory the BH ACL can also make referrals to 800 individual providers.
