The Maple Leaf Rag A publication for and about SMAHL Travel Hockey May 2009 W elcome to the Maple Leaf Rag, the official publication for the SMAHL Travel Division. Just a reminder: each month, your team will receive this newsletter via email. It is the primary communications piece for the entire SMAHL Travel Division organization. It will keep our entire association informed of SMAHL Travel Division activities and, more importantly, create unity among all teams and levels of our organizations. We have a strong goal to build loyalty, pride and friendship among the teams in our SMAHL Travel division. To that end, we need to communicate more fully across teams lines and promote our program from within. This is YOUR newsletter. To make it successful, we need your input each month. The bracket featured tough teams, but our Maple Leafs beat them all, ending with a 5-0 record. The spring team beat Allen Park, Victory Honda, Belle Tire, and Grand Rapids, and awarded the MVP honors to Drew Seals. Way to go, Leafs! Tam-O-Shanter Events Planned for Summer Fun Tam-O-Shanter has many activities and events planned for this summer. Please support our ice rink! Fun Day Kids Camp Begins June 15th Monday-Friday 9AM-3PM This program is designed to keep your kids busy all day long with a variety of sportthemed activities every day, including kick-ball, soccer, ice skating, and dodge-ball Register by the day ($25) or the week ($100).
