CARE, CUSTODY, AND CONTROL: Care, custody, and control of the dog is hereby conveyed, and the Buyer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold Seller harmless from any liability whatsoever as a result of the Buyer’s or the dog’s acts or omissions. Buyer agrees to take good and reasonable care of the dog, doing all things necessary or advisable to promote the welfare of the dog. Buyer acknowledges that if, for unknown reasons in the future, they are unable to keep the dog, the dog shall be surrendered back to the Seller instead of placing the dog in any pound or animal shelter.

REGISTRATION AND OWNERSHIP TRANSFER: Upon payment in full as set forth above, Seller has provided the buyer (or will provide the buyer within 90 days) with the dog’s AKC registration application. The Buyer, at his/her own expense, shall promptly take all actions necessary to officially transfer AKC registration and microchip registration (sent in by Seller at time of purchase) of the dog into the Buyers name. The Buyer acknowledges receipt from Seller of a record of vaccinations, copy of pedigree, microchip registration, and AKC registration application. NOTE: If payment is made by check, the AKC registration application will be held until the check has cleared the bank. There is a $30.00 service fee on all returned checks.

SELLER REPRESENTATIONS: Seller warrants to Buyer that Seller is the legal owner of the dog and that Seller has the unqualified right to sell the dog. The dog is a purebred German Shepherd Dog and is registered/registerable with the American Kennel Club. Furthermore, Seller warrants that the dog is sold Free and Clear of any encumbrances or is sold on a Co-Ownership Contract (see additional attached terms and conditions of co-ownership). The dog is sold as a Shepherd Dog. The dog is sold with Pet Quality or Showable or Show Quality German

LIMITED WARRANTIES: GENERAL HEALTH: The dog is of sound body, in good health, and free of communicable disease at the time of this sale. Buyer has 14 days from the delivery date to have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian (Buyer will pay all veterinarian fees) and will provide a copy of a USDA Health Certificate to the seller after examination. If the dog fails the examination, the Buyer, with documentation from the veterinarian (and upon confirmation from a second licensed veterinarian of the Seller’s choosing) may return the dog to the Seller for a replacement puppy of equal or greater value from the next available litter. Failure to have the dog examined within the above time limit will nullify all warranties included in this bill of sale.

14-DAY PARVOVIRUS WARRANTY: If the dog dies from Parvovirus within 14days of purchase, return the AKC papers and documentation from a licensed veterinary pathology laboratory. Buyer will be provided with a replacement puppy of equal or greater value from the next available litter.

6–MONTH WARRANTY AGAINST CONGENITAL DEFECT OR DISEASE: If the dog develops a condition typically held to be of congenital origin within 6months of purchase, return the dog, the AKC papers, and documentation from a licensed veterinarian. Upon confirmation of diagnosis from a second licensed veterinarian or other specialist(s) of the Seller’s choosing, Buyer will be provided with a replacement puppy of equal or greater value from the next available litter.

6–MONTH WARRANTY AGAINST SPECIFIED DISEASES: If the dog dies or is crippled by distemper, hepatitis, or leptospirosis within 6-months of purchase and the Buyer has protected the dog with an adequate schedule of vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian, return the dog (if alive), the AKC papers, and documentation from a licensed veterinary pathology laboratory (including a copy of the dogs vaccination record). The Buyer will be provided with a replacement puppy of equal or greater value from the next available litter.

LIMITED WARRANTY AGAINST HIP AND ELBOW DYSPLASIA: If the dog’s hips are x-rayed and are not rated at least “Fair” by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (O.F.A.) and/or elbows are not rated “Normal” by 30 months (2½ yrs) of age, return the dog, the AKC papers, and the O.F.A. opinion letter. The Buyer will be provided with a replacement puppy of equal or greater value from the next available litter.

THE PREVIOUSLY LISTED WARRANTIES ARE VALID ONLY SO LONG AS THE DOG IS IN THE CARE, CUSTODY AND CONTROL OF THE ORIGINAL BUYER. IT IS NOT TRANSFERRABLE. THESE WARRANTIES GIVE THE BUYER SPECIFIC RIGHTS. THE BUYER MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TRANSPORTATION COSTS THAT MAY BE REQUIRED UNDER THESE WARRANTIES.

GOVERNING LAW: Both parties hereto agree that the terms and conditions of this bill of sale shall be governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, Valley County.
DEFINITIONS: PET QUALITY: a companion animal purebred and AKC registerable, that is sold as a pet with no warranty that the dog will be show quality or breeding stock. SHOWABLE: a puppy or adult that goes beyond and above the definition of a pet dog. This animal must be free of all disqualifying faults. This dog is under NO CIRCUMSTANCES guaranteed to win in the breed ring. It is understood that, with proper care on the part of the buyer, in due time, the dog should be of acceptable temperament and structure, and should embody the basic standard of the Breed. SHOW: a puppy or adult that goes beyond and above the definition of a showable dog, and with proper handling, should win in the conformation ring. If there are any further guarantees they must be in writing at the time of execution of this sale. LIMITED REGISTRATION: Litters produced by the dog are NOT eligible for AKC registration. The dog is eligible to compete in all AKC-licensed events, except breed competition, at AKC-Licensed dog shows. UNRESTRICTED REGISTRATION: Litters produced by the dog are eligible for AKC registration. The dog is eligible to compete in all AKC-licensed events, including breed competition, at AKCLicensed dog shows. Page 4 of 5
