Based on the performance of Test Event, we received unanimously good
comments from the ISSF and the participants and had been recognized to
have achieved the ability and condition to hold the Olympics. Although
there exist some problems such as the flow line of the finalists, the
management in the mixed zone, etc, we had met the requirements of the
Olympic Committee by immediately modifying right after the Test Event.
Test Event was such a critical test for the operation of the Olympics. It
was better if every functional area participate in. In one place, to make
sure the overall operation and examination of every operating schemes
and plans during the test event. In the other place, to provide the staff
with practical experience.
The custom clearance，transportation and management of the guns and
ammunitions had to be executed by the international convention as well as the
law of one’s own country. So during the preparing process it is quite necessary to
establish the guide of gun and ammunition management as soon as possible by
discussing with Departments of Security, Customs, Logistics, etc. And gave them
out to all the participating teams so that they could know about them better and
well prepared. What’s more, it is inevitable that some guns and ammunitions
declarations may not be in accordance with the fact. So to set up a plan about
this with the departments concerned is needed.
As more and more strict management of the guns and ammunitions in all the
different countries, it is more and more difficult to transport ammunitions in air
accordingly. That’s why the organizer has to supply sufficient ammunitions to sell
to satisfy the participating athletes during the training and competition.
