How to get a free Annual Credit Report (TransUnion)
1. Enter this address in the address line on the internet www.annualcreditreport.com 2. You will see a screen. Select State “California” and click on request report 3. You will see a screen that asks for personal information. Enter all the information and click “next” 4. You will see a screen that asks which credit report agency you want.. Tick the box for TransUnion and click on next. As an option you may Tick on Experian or Equifax. You are allowed one free report from each agency in a 12 month period. You will see another worthless screen. Click on next. You will be asked personal credit information and you will be asked to enter a Username and Password. Write down the Username _____________and Password ____________for future reference. You will then see a screen that will try to sell you a Debit Analysis or credit score. Don’t click on these unless you want them. Then , Click on “Accept” You will see a screen that asks if you want “to see where you stand”. Click “No thanks”. You will then see you credit report. Click on “Display a printer friendly version” Then print the document: File, print, print (or however you usually print a document). The document will probably be at least 6 pages long or longer.
How to get a free Annual Credit Report (Equifax)
Follow steps 1-3 above. 4. You will see a screen to choose the reporting agency. Tick the box for Equifax and click on next. As an option you may Tick on Experian or TransUnion. You are allowed one free report from each agency in a 12 month period. Equifax will take you through a 3 step personal information check. You may need bank account information or other credit information to complete this portion. You will be asked if you want your FICO score. Click on “no thanks, Just want credit report” You will see this screen, “order summary”. Click on “submit”. You will see this screen, “order confirmation”. Click on “View and print your online report” You will see a screen with no real credit information. Scroll to the bottom of the left menu and click on “Print credit report” A screen will pop-up with the credit report. Click on “Print this page”. This will be at least 6 pages. It could be 20 or more

Follow steps 1-3 above. 4. You will see a screen to choose the reporting agency Tick the box for Experian and click on next. As an option you may Tick on Equifax or TransUnion. You are allowed one free report from each agency in a 12 month period. Experian will show a screen and ask for last 4 digits of SS#. Enter them and click on submit. Now Experian will ask you to “Please verify your identity by answering the questions below. The information is collected and evaluated as a security measure to ensure that only you are able to access your online report. “ You might need some financial info to answer questions. A “Credit report summary” page will be displayed. On the right hand side you will see: “Credit Report Toolkit: Print your report” Click on “Print your report” The report will be displayed. There will be a button on the right “Print report”. Click on it. This will be several Pages, maybe 20 or more.
