 Points of Information, Georgia Institute of Technology: Can you
compare different aspects such as academic scholarships versus

specifically in the bid; if you get it from the bid then you can
whereas on school focused on academics, such and such school

 Georgia Institute of Tech objects with the basis of not being able
to read the bids beforehand and it would be more productive to
go straight into comparing instead of doing pro/con.
 Vote on motion for pro/con:
 Point of information, Georgia Institute of Technology,
parliamentarian question: does it require a super majority
or a simple majority to overturn a previously stated
                   procedural matter?
 Point of Information by Eastern Kentucky University
what is a rising vote and what is the action to call a roll
call vote? Bruce: stand when you vote and it is move to

 point of information Appalachian State University general OTM or
program OTM? Depends on type of program.
 Certain criteria might be helpful from the regular program forms on
                                    the passive programming forms.
 Georgia Southern University liked the idea but shouldn’t need it’s
                                    on category.
 University of Kentucky thinks that passive program could be
                                    incorporated into general programming.
 William and Mary supports it, 15% of their OTMS. It is strong.
                                 Passive Programs are important.
 Vote: in favor of creation of passive programming OTM in general.
Bruce will be making a recommendation to create it.
 Appalachian State University: should have a shorter form in
                                    program category.
 Give examples of what should be written on. Eastern Carolina
University could see problems in what should count and what
                                    shouldn’t.
 In favor for it being in the program category but in short form: Yes
 Clarification in programming models so it didn’t mean something
                                    that it shouldn’t?
 Change to the NACURH awards policy:
 Thinks that it would be a conflict of interest.
 Ga Southern should have the right to recognize others for what they are
                               doing within.
 Appalachian State University Thinks that people who could write good
                               OTMs should be able to
 Eastern Kentucky University agrees but needs a clause for when the
OTM gets to their respective places.
 As a member of regional OTM committee looks forward to seeing
people writing OTMs, it might take away from what a lot of NRHH
organizations are pushing on their campus. ( push for their campuses to
write more OTMs, they may less likely to push submissions)
 Author may become too much of an influence on the OTM submission.
                             Writing to recognize.
 If they are elected into those positions shouldn’t they have the integrity
                               to write the OTM.
 Recommendation on this (generally)- will recommend. 25-7-1 in favor.
 Recommendation for Ads and NRHH to recuse themselves should the
                               situation arise.
 Reminds Georgia Institute of Technology of abstaining in the
                               boardroom on a vote.
 Eastern Kentucky University should let them write OTMs because they
would be the best able to separate themselves from the OTM process.
 Read it for OTM or the Author.
 Shouldn’t have to sneak around about writing the OTMs.
 East Tennessee State University would better region when it comes to
                               more submissions for OTMs.
 National NRHH Awards at NACURH 2010.
