Course Description
This course provides an introduction to the Visual Basic for Applications functionality within AutoCAD. It includes discussions and sample programs which explain the AutoCAD object model, the IDE, and basic VB programming concepts such as variables, data types, declarations, globalizing and localizing data, the methods, properties and events of basic entity types, AutoCADspecific utility objects, basic decision-tree and loop structures, working within modelspace and paperspace, creating and editing all basic entity types, form loading/initialization and working with external files, and basic GUI design philosophies. It also provides numerous sample applications which demonstrate these concepts
