Chesapeake Classics, LLC – Consignment Agreement
This agreement is made on (date____________) between (Chesapeake Classics, LLC) herein referred to as "Seller", and (Consignee_________________________). Whereas (Consignee________________________) wishes to sell (description of item(s)):
by consigning said item(s) to Chesapeake Classics, LLC for sale, it is understood: That Chesapeake Classics, LLC agrees to display item(s) in a prominent place in his/her establishment. That Chesapeake Classics, LLC will make every attempt to obtain the best possible price for the consigned merchandise and will accept no less than ($ SEE ABOVE) as purchase price. That for his/her efforts Chesapeake Classics, LLC is entitled to retain (20%) of the purchase price. That should a sale be effectuated, Chesapeake Classics, LLC shall forward a check for the amount of the full purchase price less the aforementioned (percent) to Consignee within 14-21 days of the receipt of same.
That Chesapeake Classics, LLC represents that he/she maintains insurance for theft and damage, and that the consigned merchandise will be covered by said insurance while it is in his/her possession. That Consignee agrees to leave the merchandise with Chesapeake Classics, LLC for a minimum of (time____________). That should the merchandise remain unsold at the end of the consignment period and an election be made by the Consignee to remove said merchandise, any costs incurred by the delivery of same to Consignee shall be borne by Consignee. Consignee will also have the choice of contract renewal. If Consignee sells their consigned merchandise outside of our gallery – then Chesapeake Classics, LLC will be entitled to the 20% agreed commission.
