Also…...coming soon…...the ability to pay your membership on Pay Pal. Watch for details on the website
and by email.
Misplaced your directory? Our webmaster, Jason Woelfel, has made it possible for WHNA members who
have registered on whnadallas.com to look at a copy of the membership directory. If you have not regis-
tered you will not be able to see the link to the directory. Only WHNA members are approved for registration.
Jason is also working on placing the ads found in the newsletter onto the website. They are more colorful than
the ones in the newsletter.
Question from a member: Is there a way to get email alerts when new posts appear on the forum?
Answer from Jason: The best way to get notified when there are new posts is by using the site's RSS Feed.
That way, you won't miss something important if you get busy and forget to check the site.
Look for the orange RSS Feed icon on the home page or use the link below. Some E-mail programs and online
services allow you to add RSS Feeds to your Inbox or a separate folder. If your E-mail does not have this capa-
bility, you can still have new posts sent to your Inbox by following these steps:
         1. Copy the RSS Feed link for WHNA Recent Posts here:
                feed://www.whnadallas.com/forum/rss.php?
         2. Go to http://www.feedmyinbox.com and follow the instructions.
For those of you who would like a visual overview and simple explanation of RSS, there is a great video illus-
tration on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0klgLsSxGsU

My family has decided to make the Denton State Supported Living Center (formerly known as the Denton
State School) part of our special Christmas giving this year. Denton State School houses approximately 650
residents, many of whom are medically fragile and require constant medical care. Most have severe to pro-
found mental retardation and over half navigate the campus with wheelchairs or power chairs. The average age
of the residents is 55, and they love the holidays - especially the part about receiving presents!
The Center asked that unwrapped gifts be delivered by December 15th. My family will be making a trip to de-
liver our gifts on the weekend of December 12th, and I would be willing to deliver any gifts that neighbors
would like to contribute. Below is the wish list from the school. Please feel free to pass on my phone number
to arrange for pick-up of any contributions.
