CONSULTANCIES
1. Consultant, Trade and Investment Programme for a Competitive Export Economy (TIPCEE-USAID).
2005 – 2007: Development of a technical but systematic framework for ‘Seed development
suitable and adaptable to the Ghanaian environment and to conduct okra trials and
demonstrations that will benefit the stakeholders in the vegetable industry. Training in Good
Agricultural Practices and Integrated Pest Management in Okra cultivation. Over 1000 farmers
trained in cultivation, good cultural/ agricultural practices, harvesting and post harvest handling of
fruits and IPM practices to supply fresh okra to vegetable exporters to Europe and the local market.
2. Consultant, Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA). 2005: Establishment of systems and
processes for cultivar testing and production trial programme for Horticultural Export Industry
Initiative (HEII) under Agssip.
2004 – Sept. 2007 Training in nursery management, agronomy, post harvest handling, safe and
effective use of pesticides to nursery operators, producers and exporters of fruits ( mangoes) and
vegetables (chillies, aubergines, sweet potato, okra, turia, dhudi, watermelon, and sweet melons).
Over 650 nursery operators have been trained in fruit tree (mango) nursery management to
