Leading creative agencies will provide strategic council, business development, digital development, online community relations, content integration, publicity and VIP outreach
NEW YORK (October 21, 2009) – Chris Weil, Chairman and CEO of leading global marketing agency Momentum Worldwide, announced today that the company has entered into a strategic business relationship with Muze Clothing, the first brand of premium social apparel. Momentum Worldwide and PMK/HBH have been awarded the business to brand the company, provide digital strategy and development, creative development, PR and VIP relations, sponsorship and experiential marketing, as well as the formation of strategic partnerships with like-minded brands and personalities. Launched originally in 2007, Muze Clothing offers men’s, women’s and maternity t-shirts and thermals in a variety of colors and designs, each featuring an iconic line from classic films and pop culture and sold online and at luxury boutiques across the US. Momentum Worldwide and PMK/HBH have already been working with Muze on a complete overhaul of the brand’s website, which will re-launch November 16, 2009 with greatly improved SEO and robust social networking and usergenerated content tools at www.muzeclothing.com. The new and improved e-commerce and film community-based site has been developed in-house by Momentum’s digital team in the UK and the US. Aggressive media relations and celebrity seeding already has Hollywood and the professional sports world buzzing— notable Muze enthusiasts include Ryan Seacrest, Tony Romo, Ray Allen, Jessica Simpson, Ben Roethlisberger, Kendra Wilkinson and Jeremy Roenick. In addition, the agencies will have an integral role in launching a series of Muze charitable t-shirts created in partnership with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment. “While a lot of agencies are talking about getting into the IP / joint venture space, and developing new revenue streams, Momentum Worldwide is doing it,” said Joe DiMuro, Executive Vice President, Entertainment & Branded Content. “We’ve got Muze covered on all fronts—from digital to special events to strategic partnerships. Working hand in hand with PMK/HBH, the leading purveyor of pop culture in the industry, this exciting partnership allows us to fully integrate our powerful global network to make Muze a part of the social fabric for our target audience.” The joint venture is being managed by Momentum’s Entertainment and Branded Content unit, which has, for over a decade, worked with the company’s Fortune 100 companies like American Express, Verizon and Coca-Cola to integrate brands in the entertainment space, mostly through content partnerships, celebrity endorsements and sponsorships. While Muze is the first JV announcement from the group in regards to the fashion and retail sector, the unit has aggressively evolved its capabilities to include original content development, IP and joint venture creation, and brand development on the talent side. “Muze Clothing started when we realized that one of the most important connections between friends and strangers alike was a shared appreciation of popular movie lines,” said Bill Deacon, CEO of Muze. “Our partnership with Momentum Worldwide and PMK/HBH adds stellar intelligence and creative firepower to the brand and we are excited to work together and take Muze to new levels.”

Muze Clothing began when a group of guys were sitting around a table, tossing around quotes from their favorite flicks. After a few good laughs and some healthy debates, the idea for Muze clothing was born. The line is built on the concept that the tee shirt is a staple of the American consumer, and everyone can relate to a great movie quote. To bring this concept to life, founders Bill Deacon and Mark Dimond collaborated with brothers Sean and Michael Sims and soon after created the first of what would be many Muze tee designs. Each item from the Muze line is limited edition, and once the initial run is exhausted, the item is no longer available for sale. The brand’s creation of more than 75 designs have featured many memorable lines including “You talkin’ 2 me?”, “You’ll get nothing and like it”, and “Say hello to my lil’ friend”. Muze apparel instantly sparks conversation and evokes memories for not only those who wear Muze, but those who encounter the wearer, establishing a connection and camaraderie between people who enjoy movies and quality clothing.
