LUXE PACK NEW YORK ATTENDANCE UP DESPITE ECONOMIC CLIMATE May 29 , 2009, New York, NY – Luxe Pack New York’s seventh edition drew a record crowd of 2,110 visitors – an increase of 5% compared to last year – to the luxury packaging trade exhibition held last week. The event spotlighted 109 packaging manufacturers, showing the newest innovations in the luxury market. Luxe Pack New York took place May 21 and 22 at the 40,000 square-foot Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion. “Luxe Pack New York 2009 was a very strong event, despite the fragile economic situation. We’re delighted that attendance grew and that we maintained a sold-out show. Visitors also had the first opportunity following the FiFi Awards to view all the winners in one place at the Luxe Pack New York FiFi Awards 2008 Display, co-sponsored by The Fragrance Foundation. In addition, CPC Packaging magazine’s Editors’ Choice Awards were presented during a cocktail reception at the show and the winning products were on display. Finally, an exhibitor of the work of the recipients of the Pratt Institute’s “Marc Rosen Scholarship for Graduate Package Design” Recipients’ gave visitors a sneak peak at the future of packaging design. Luxe Pack and The Fragrance Foundation presented a display of the FiFi Award nominees, including the “Best Packaging” category. The FiFi Awards is an annual event to honor the fragrance industry’s most significant achievements with many respected names in fragrance, beauty and fashion in attendance at its awards ceremony.
