March 2007

Dear Prospective Vendor:

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor at the Junior League of Denver’s 29th annual
Holiday Mart. The 2007 Holiday Mart is scheduled for Thursday, November 29 – Sunday, December
2, 2007 at the Denver Merchandise Mart. We are extremely excited to be returning to this venue for a
second year. Our first year there was a huge success and we are looking forward to an even bigger
success this year. The Denver Merchandise Mart is a full service facility with a larger and newly
renovated building, a central location, and plenty of amenities. We are dedicated to making this
Holiday Mart the most successful and enjoyable ever.

The Junior League of Denver, Incorporated, (JLD) founded in 1918, is an organization of women
committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community
through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively
educational and charitable.

The Junior League of Denver has returned hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours and dollars to
the Metro Denver community through its programs, member development and training activities,
grants, public policy and advocacy initiatives and facilitation assistance. We accomplish our mission
by supporting programs and efforts that focus on improving the community through the health and
education of women and children. The money raised by the Junior League of Denver benefits such
community programs as Career Connections, Project Wise, Kids Connect, Assets for Colorado Youth,
and Young Audiences of Colorado.

We have two areas of the Holiday Mart where you can sell your merchandise: the Artisan Village or
the Retail Market.

Artisan Village is the area of the Holiday Mart that features a collection of high quality gifts, food
and handcrafted items. All Artisan merchandise is displayed in one area, independent of the Retail
Market Booths. Each table is $185 and The Junior League of Denver collects a 30% commission
on all gross sales in the Artisans Boutique. The commission we collect supports the purpose and
programs the Junior League of Denver.

The Junior League of Denver supports the community by devoting trained volunteers and/or dollars to several
projects in the metro Denver community. Membership dues, our famous cookbooks, the annual Holiday Mart,
“Kitchens That Cook!”, our well known thrift store (the Second Time Shop) and the annual Bridge Marathon provide
the financial means to support our purpose and programs.

The Retail Market of the Holiday Mart has a flat booth fee, with no percentage of gross sales
charged. The booth fee supports the purpose and programs of the Junior League of Denver. A
booth fee includes carpet in the booth to match the aisles, along with 10’ drapes, an 8’ skirted
table, two chairs and a trash can. Fee structures are as follows for standard booth space:
            Each 10’x10’ Booth: $1300 (i.e. 10’x20’ = $2600, etc.)
Premium Corner Booths require an additional fee of: $350
Corner Booths require an additional fee of: $200
End caps (2 corners) are an additional fee of: $700

The Holiday Mart Committee members review potential vendors’ products and price points and then
decide as a group who will be invited to the show. The Holiday Mart Committee meets as a group
several times to go through this process. At those meetings a vendor may be assigned a “Yes”, “No”
or “Waitlist” status for just the current year’s show.
 “Yes” vendors are sent a contract and required paperwork.
 “No” vendors are sent a letter.
 “Waitlist” vendors are called or sent a letter to let them know we are still considering them.

**We will be limiting the number of vendors in each product category and the total number of
vendors in the Holiday Mart. It is to each vendors benefit to send items in early for jurying.**

Contract packages for Retailers and Artisans will be mailed by the 3rd week in August. Please
understand that potentially not all the items you submit will be selected for sale at the Holiday Mart.
The Holiday Mart Committee will continue to jury until all spaces are sold.

    Merchandise Return:
You may choose to either donate your items to our raffle held during the Holiday Mart, or include a
check made out to the ‘Junior League of Denver’ for return shipment of your items. Your items will
be returned in the same box as they are sent in and will not be returned via UPS. You may also
choose to include a paid return-shipping label as an alternative. This will assure that your
    merchandise is returned quickly.

The Artisan Village is comprised of smaller businesses that feature primarily handmade items. Each
vendor is charged $185 for an 8’ skirted table plus two chairs, a trash can and then 30% of sales go to
the Junior League of Denver. Artisans may purchase more than one table.

The Retail Market is comprised of vendors who pay a flat booth fee and all proceeds stay with the
company. A basic 10’ x 10’ booth begins at $1,300. Your booth fee will include carpet in your booth to
match the aisle ways, along with 10’ tall drapes, an 8’ skirted table, two chairs and a trash can.
Retailers may purchase more than one booth.

When selecting Artisan Village or Retailers Market, consider:
What type of products do you carry? What is the price point of your items?
What are your anticipated sales? Do you have enough people to staff a booth?
Note: Retail Market booths must be staffed at all times.

Free parking, two lunches per each 10’ X 10’ booth, one lunch per Artisan table, concessions stand to
purchase additional food and drinks, daily cleaning of hall and exhibitor trash cans and basic electricity
is included with booth fee. A $75 charge will apply to electrical outlets used by Artisans.

Locked storage rooms are available for a fee of $200-$300 per unit (depending on size) for the
entire duration of the Holiday Mart.

An 8’ skirted table and two chairs will be provided for Artisans. The tables are arranged in rows to
allow for easy access for customers to view items displayed. Artisans are encouraged to display items
neatly and in an eye-catching manner in order to attract shoppers.

A 10’ curtain is placed between vendors’ booths and the 8’ table will have a skirt in the Retail Market.
We encourage vendors to design their space in a “festive boutique” style. Setting up to allow for
customers to come into your booth works well and is often more “customer friendly”.

The Junior League of Denver and the Denver City Fire Marshall require that no part of your booth
protrude into the aisles beyond the 10-foot depth. This will be monitored and you will be asked to
make any necessary adjustments to your booth display. No “tent” or covering over the top of the booth
is allowed.

Jurying will be ongoing from May 1, 2007 continuing until all spaces are filled. We will send contract
packages by the 3rd week of August. The booth layout for the Holiday Mart is determined on a first
come, first serve basis from the date we receive all paperwork from a Retailer or Artisan at our Junior
League of Denver headquarters. This includes your Contract, Booth Fee, Damage Deposit that will be
returned following the Holiday Mart, Proof of Insurance or Waiver, W-9 and Vendor Special Order
Form. All paperwork is due by Monday, September 17, 2007 end of day.

If you have any questions concerning the jurying process or the Holiday Mart in general, please
contact us at or at 303.692.0270 x261 for Artisan or x269 for the Retail
