After earning a Master’s degree in theology and one in philosophy, Franklin J. Hogue taught philosophy briefly before entering Mercer University Law School, where he graduated with honors in 1991. He has been in private practice ever since, doing criminal defense exclusively. He has been a member of the faculty of the National Criminal Defense College since 2000. He has been on the faculty of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers William “Bill” Daniel Trial Advocacy School since its inception in 2001. He is an adjunct professor at Mercer Law School, where he has taught Advanced Criminal Trial Techniques since 2001. For a decade, he has written the annual survey of developments in Georgia criminal law for Mercer Law Review. Bob Long, M.S. is licensed as an alcohol and drug counselor, a clinical professional counselor, and is a certified clinical supervisor. He has 36 years experience in providing substance abuse and mental health program development, administration, and treatment services. Bob is currently the Administrator for Access and Outpatient Services at the Kennebec Behavioral Health. He is responsible for directing the access, outpatient mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring initiatives and services for the agency. Bob serves as the Agency’s representative on the Maine Association of Substance Abuse Programs (MASAP) and is currently President of the Board of Directors. He is also a member of the DHHS Child Welfare and Substance Abuse Committee, which is developing and implementing initiatives related to Substance Abuse and Child Welfare. In addition he serves on the Substance Abuse Services Commission.
