Carol is a Project Manager for Nova Retail Group in Portsmouth, NH. Carol
has a BFA in Photography as a Fine Art from the Rochester Institute of
Technology in Rochester, NY and has been taking photographs for the past
Carol has been active with the NHAA since 1991, a juried member of the
NHAA since 2002, an interim Board Member since November 2011, and
interim President since May 2012.
Maureen Kelliher recently joined the investment group in Wealth
Management at Cambridge Trust Company. With more than thirty years
of investment management experience, Maureen manages portfolios for
high-net-worth individuals and institutions. As a member of Cambridge
Trust’s investment strategy group, she contributes to the establishment
of our overall investment themes and outlook.
Prior to joining Cambridge Trust, Maureen was Co-Chief Investment
Officer and Market Leader for Citizens Bank in Manchester, New
Hampshire, and Chief Investment Officer for Charter Trust in Concord,
New Hampshire. Earlier in her career, Maureen focused on fixed-
income investing as Vice President and Money Desk Manager of Maine
Savings Bank. A graduate of Colby College, Maureen is a Chartered
Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston
Security Analysts Society. She is currently a trustee of the Mt.
Washington Observatory, a former member of the Investment
Committee of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, and former
Chairman of the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund. For the past
25 years, Maureen has made her home in Dover, New Hampshire.
JoAnn lives in Lee, NH and is currently a full-time painter. JoAnn taught
school at the elementary and college levels, and spent the bulk of her
professional life providing staff development in the area of writing
instruction to teachers throughout the United States. She served on the
Oyster River School Board for nine years and looks forward to working
as part of the NHAA Board to help strengthen the association for its
members and the community at large.
JoAnn has been a juried artist member of the NHAA since 2009 and an
Board Member since August 2012.
Marylou Ashooh Lazos
Marylou is a figure artist, with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from the
University of New Hampshire and a Master of Arts in Art History from the
State University of New York at Binghamton. She is also an Independent
Museum Professional, having worked in various museums in the Northeast
and Mid-Atlantic including the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester and
the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
Marylou has been a juried artist member of the NHAA since 1996 and a
Board Member since 2010.
Theresann is a resident of Kittery Point, Maine and has exhibited
landscape oil paintings extensively throughout New England and the
Southern United States. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the
University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University
of New Hampshire. Theresann is a founding member of Art Around
Town and she and her husband opened and ran a successful art gallery in
Portsmouth from 2004-2008 called the Family Tree. Theresann has
several art-related affiliations, including the Ogunquit Art Association
Board of Directors and Ogunquit Arts Collaborative Board of Directors.
Thereasann has been ajuried artist member of the NHAA since 1994 and
a Board Member since 2010.
Philip Case Cohen
Phil is a Commercial Real Estate Lender at People’s United Bank in
Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Phil is also a photographer and founder of
The Daily Portsmouth, a website aimed at capturing the essence of life in
Portsmouth through distinctive photography. Phil graduated from UNH’s
College of Engineering and Physics with a Bachelor of Science in
Interdisciplinary Mathematics: Economics Option and earned an MBA with
an option in Finance from the Whittemore School of Business and
Phil has been a Board Member since July 2011.
Bob Askey was born and raised in Salem, Ohio, and holds a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Art Education from Bowling Green University.
Following graduation, Bob served his military obligation in Germany and
then moved to New York City to pursue a career in advertising with
Young & Rubicam. He chose not to work in the Art Department but
elected instead to work in Account Management. He worked for Young &
Rubicam in New York and Germany for thirteen years.When Bob came
to New Hampshire, he founded his own advertising agency, Askey
Associates, in Keene. The full service agency had eighteen employees
when he retired eleven years later. Bob is now a painter.
Bob has been a juried artist member of the NHAA since 1994 and an
interim Board Member since November 2011.
David Hiley is professor of philosophy at the University of New Hampshire
where he also has served as vice president of academic affairs and provost.
He was in the Leadership New Hampshire class of 2000 and has served on
the boards of the New Hampshire Humanities Council and the University
Presses of New England. He brings experience in strategic planning and
fund-raising to the NHAA Board. He is a photographer and a juried
member of the NHAA. Recent exhibitions include the 32nd Annual Parfitt
Exhibition, "The Sense of Wonder" exhibition at the NH Children's
Museum, and a two-person invitational exhibition at the Dempsey Art
Gallery in Auburn, AL.
David has been a juried artist member of the NHAA since 2011 and an
interim Board Member since January 2012.
Born in New Zealand, Alison Williams now lives in New Hampshire and
teaches at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Alison received her
Masters in Fine Art from the Art Institute of Boston and on completion
was nominated for and received the Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA
Grant. Exhibitions in 2011 include a solo exhibition at the McIninch
Gallery, NH and a two person exhibition at the Lamont Gallery, NH as
well as group exhibitions at: Lesley University Gallery, MA; Artspace, CT;
The Lot, CT and Amherst Street Gallery, NH. She received her Bachelor of
Fine Art in Drawing and Painting from Edinburgh College of Art,
Scotland, and exhibits in Scotland and the United States of America.
Alison's work is in many private and public collections which include the
DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, MA, Portland Museum of Art,
ME, and Smith College of Art, MA.
Alison was formerly a Board Member in 2009 and joined us again as an
Board Member in August 2012.
Mark Soderling is a painter originally from Madison, WI. He is
currently living in Dover, New Hampshire and working out of the Salmon
Falls Mill in Rollinsford, New Hampshire. He graduated from the
University of New Hampshire MFA program in the spring of
2011. Soderling has exhibited work in New Hampshire, Wisconsin,
Maryland, and Italy.
Mark has been a juried artist member of the NHAA since 2012.

and leased numerous projects throughout the New Hampshire and
Massachusetts region. He has been providing quality and professional real
estate services to individuals, corporations (large and small), banks, FDIC
and many other institutions and companies.
JACKMAN is a full-service commercial real estate company with experience
in brokerage (sales and leasing), consulting and property management.

John grew up in Atkinson, New Hampshire and then received his Bachelor
of Music in Education degree from West Virginia University. After
graduation, John moved back to New Hampshire where he was a band and
music teacher for three years. After, he got into commercial brokerage and
has been doing that for the past 23+ years. His community work has
included a two year stint as the Executive Director of the New Hampshire
Philharmonic Orchestra and was instrumental in organizing a live musical
telethon with WMUR-TV, increased the budget by 150% in two years and
was on the Board of Directors for another five years. He was also on the
board of the North Country Center for the Arts in Lincoln for five years and
sits on the boards and communities of many other community and
professional organizations over the years.
